Overall its a great job and for those less informed and Ken for Mayor campaigners, 10 million is a bargain to develop any new vehicle never mind a new bus from scratch. The pod lighting looks fantastic at night, very atmospheric. Never thought I'd say that about a bus but its true. I predict these buses will be hugely popular regardless of the whinging we're sure to hear from Labour. Well done Boris, you've delivered for Londoners, again! Sorry Ken, better luck next time......hmm, maybe not.
Just like when BMW revised the Mini, a lot of people didn't like the prototype when it was first launched, but now there is loads of them on the streets and this Borismaster follows a similar pattern. The design is very futuristic but there is still traces of the original RM in the current design. I personally like it and the seating looks like proper seats rather than those bucket type seats that nearly every bus in production has nowadays. Looks better than the Enviro 400's.
Indeed. The thing is it also has a special interior in the lower saloon with two iBus being installed. One which featured in this video and one near the open rear platform.
Haven't they learned anything from the research? People hate seats that face each other and often stand rather than use them! I see that the same amount of space has been allocated to luggage (space largely unused). This space should have been used for forward facing seating and a luggage compartment situated under the stairs like a proper Routemaster! Apart from the rear entrance it is nothing like a Routemaster!

What a waste of money 10 million for a vanity bus for Boris this could have gone towards keeping fares down. VOTE FOR KEN

As a bus, it's ok - but the replacement should have been more faithful to the original!

@LondonBuses47 And it's the new type of bendy bus. It has Oyster readers on the centre doors means people can enter the bus from here.
