they are LEDs. once you figure out what that is, try and figure out how little of battery power they use.

they only take off a couple of minutes for battery life -_-

@Gagan7335 Except that the DS is designed to be as efficient as possible as well, so the LEDs do drain a significant amount when you compare it to the scale of the device's initial power consumption.

You'll see more than a couple minutes drop I guarantee you.

*sigh* i really need to get on with mine... i recently changed the entire case to a clear one (buttons included) and yes i am an acidmods user. problem is when i changed the housing i snapped the on/off switch (massive yell).

anyways all i got at the mo is two 0603 smd's in the slot 2 cart (blue) damn awesome but i havent got round to the rest of the ds yet... awesome vid mate and keep it up oh and screw the people saying you need to clean your ds... IT'S BLACK!!! lol

If you mod it right you can make it whatever you want. Mod's are fun to mess with in general lol. Just got to know what your doing, otherwise you could end up screwing up your system :D. You probably have to make some clear buttons or something if they're not clear enough, then just put a little LED in the middle of the pads and hook it up to the battery with some resistors and you got a mod (Over simplification).

That is niceee, but comoon out of all the coulors why blue doesn't go nicley with the black DS, and its toooo bright. Overall its a nice mod , just buttons look manky and i agree with the other comment that button looks like the nasty ps2 controler buttons.

You put them in there... :/ that's what people do with old Gameboys. You can install LED's inside of them and hook them up to the power supply.
