My point exactly, the car was not properly set up. Track performance does not translate directly into canyon performance. On poorly maintained roads, a stock ride height with plenty of suspension travel becomes paramount. Ever look at the wheel gap and sidewall on a rally car?
Anyway I hope he's okay. Only way to master the hills is practice and experience. Hopefully, we'll run into each other sometime on the road.

You'll definitely improve more as a driver with stock suspension. You'll be able to experience more of the load shifts be able to attain a better understanding of your chassis's limits. Plus having more mechanical grip will keep you safer in emergency situations.
That aside, I know of a couple of other roads that are better suited for practice if you have rally aspirations.

last time i went up there (about a month ago) there was a lot of guys up there still. cops don't come unless there is a snitch upon the group. and the summer usually the cops come out a little more often.

and if there's people running down well you have to look out for lights when ure driving ! its not easy canyon racing you have to be a multitask person to run the fuckin canyon and a good driver ! not just cause you have a fuckin ae86 corrola means ure going to be fast!! remeber its the driver not the car!!ha anyone wanna run me hit me up

very nice video mad props but i agree with one of the haters. you should do no more thatn 5 cars per run. i run canyon aswell and have seen the concequences of fast and furious runs ( 8341238423 cars all back to back) great video and props again.
For all you "drag racers" go 80MPH right into a dick and suck it. real skills involve throtle control, braking control, heel-toeing, etc, not just shifting.

seriously, drag racers...just calm down. everyone has there forte. takes some skills knowing ur car to shift a the right time eeking ou the torque for drag, and it takes skils for the timing into corners, braking, etc etc for mountain racing.
