I agree. Best game ever. I still play it with the 4 player multitap.

But, I have to go with the SNES. Sega if I remember you had to hold the button to become the goalie, Super Nintendo was triangle. I use to have the skills with the goalie. And I found SNES a little smoother game play as well.

Actually, scoring with a goalie is a very rare occurance. Even more when the opposing goalie is still in the ice.

I was not that good at onetimes i was pretty cheap- I would sweep across the mouth of the goal an flip it past the goalie every time- I scored 149 goals in one game with 10 min periods- Playing as the bruins- Is there any one else out there that destroyed the game like that- I cant be the only one-

Are you referring to '04? Because to this day that still works, it drives me nuts. I try not to do it(blowing out everyone gets boring after awhile), but you just can't help yourself sometimes. #1 flaw about that series.

Greatest hockey game ever. NHL 07 for 360 (once you got used to the controls, came close), NHL 08 for 360 could be the best ever. But this game is absolutely classic.

Gotta love the music, NHL 97, 98, 99, 2000 all had awesome soundtracks. Now they play gay bands like Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, etc...
