i hate how rough the nurses are with babies. it used to take me 5 minutes to get a onesie on my son i thought i was going to break him haha but they just pick them up one handed like they arent fragile.
@hismommy609 well that is because a baby is just as fragile as any other person. They just happen to be smaller. It's not actually being rough. i thought that too as a 13-14 year old around the first baby I was close to (my niece) and i thought i'd kill her if i pulled the onesie over her head but that is simply not true
I cried when you cried. As the months go by I'm closer to realizing I'll have my bonding moment and now the thought means a lot to me. hence the tears.
Firstly I just wanted to say how cute she is, and wish you good luck with the birth of your son.
Second, I can't believe how long she's away from you! They showed her to you for like a minute and then whipped her away for at least ten! I just think that a new baby should be held - I'm sure most of the other things like cutting the cord can be done a bit later? I understand it's important to check the baby is ok, but really. If she's breathing fine etc, I think weighing can wait a little bit!
THEY TRIED TO!! After I nursed her they tried to take her away right then and I kept saying No.. not yet, not yet. It ended up being almost 2 hours after she was born b4 they finally took her from me to get her first bath and footprints n stuff... lol But for those 2 hrs they annoyed me every 5 seconds. Her Daddy was w/ her while in the nursery then she was brought right back & roomed in w/ us the entire stay. The nursery kept calling asking if they could come get her the entire time. Annoying.
We had a daughter... We didn't get to cut the cord she had it wrapped around her neck twice and it had to be cut b4 she was fully birthed. She couldn't breathe from it being so tight. As for getting to hold her for more than a second b4 they cleaned her off, took her vitals, weighing, I agree. I only got a few seconds, but that was bc she was purple/blue, and they were sure if it was from the cord around her neck, fluid n her lungs, or bruising from descending so quickly(come to find out, all 3)
And lastly I hemorrhaged really bad, and I was kind of loosing it, and passing out. Another reason why they took her. I could have easily dropped her and fainted. Loose enough blood and you can't think straight. So it took a while for them to get the bleeding stopped, before I was strong enough to hold her again. This time we're having our son being born at home, to avoid all this stuff that happened w/ our daughter :)
Im so moved by this video. Im in tears. Im 21 weeks pregnant and ben looking at so many videos but i have never ben so moved. You have truly touched me, this is absolutely beautiful. your daughter is gorgeous.
i wanna cry too!! lol these are such beautiful moments.its such a miracle isnt it.
if u dont mind me asking why do they still have your legs propped up? shouldnt it all be over with?! :( i dont wanna keep my legs up i just wanna sleep afterwards
Well u have to give birth to the after birth *PLACENTA* That can take a couple minutes up to like a hour or so I've heard... Some doctors will give u pitocin to hurry up the process so u'll pass it quicker. Once ur done pushing the baby, that isn't it!!! I had to cough to get mine out. Which u can hear in this video or the one b4 or after this one. Then it shows what the placenta looks like as well, once it's out. THEN I hemorrhaged, and they had to stop the bleeding, then I got stitches.
Oh they make me cry every time I get a comment on one, b/c I HAVE to watch the video again... I just can't not watch it. lol Just wait.. u'll be the same way!! Thank you for the compliment.

@ItsCrazyDay I dunno... they are rough in this video. Part of why I'll never willingly have a another hospital birth.
