At the same time, you can keep any animal in a cage, forever. ANY animal. Including horses. And veterinarians will condone it. It isn't cruel. It's legal, to neglect an animal until it dies. If you say you tried NOT to neglect, you are free and clear. How many animal cruelty charges are laid every year? how many convictions?

Lets start with the human issues in this country who's courts are already overflowing.De-criminalize marjuana for starters(no i don't toke),free up some of that court time.Harder sentences for youth offenders,maybe they will think twice next time.Don't harrass farmers who can barely make ends meet and go after the BIG global corps who mass produce our food in disgusting environments and conditions.Boycott big name brands and buy local!! Stop taking prescr.meds. odds are animals suffered.
I cannot believe that Canada has such an aniquated law on animal welfare, it's disgraceful it is 2008 for Gods sake. Take action now, we have to be the voice for the animals!
