Do kids these days have the patience for this ?...I had the (Baltimore) Colts,Cowboys,Steelers and Chiefs...It was the coolest thing when I mail ordered 2 more teams
I also had the "command control" version too..you guys might remember it....it had these control arms that had a magnet on them, and you placed another magnet under the base of the ball carrier...top of the line.. lol...I liked that field better,(it was presswood or like really thick cardboard) but didn't use the control arms much.
@chambers104 THANKS MAN.. I WAS FORTUNATE TO KEEP MINE OVER THE YEARS AND IT'S DEFINITELY BETTER THAN PS3 AND XBOX GAMES. IT'S THE REAL DEAL AND IT'S UNPREDICTABLE. OLD SCHOOL FUN!! CAN'T BEAT IT!
Thanks for the question. I would suggest that you have to fix your base on all your players. Many new bases are directional yet the original bases are not. With the original bases, you have to move the threads back more on one side as opposed to the other. With the newer bases, all you have to do is to move the directional base to straight forward as opposed to sharp right or left. If the directional base is position sharp right or left, the player will go in circles. Good luck and Have EF fun!
hey udde i got one of these cuz it LOOKED extremely fun! and i love ur vids: AWESOME!!! but 1 problem im having......every time my player get the ball all he does is run in circles!! do u hav any advice for me>?? it would reallly helpp :() :)
man growing up in ohio with 10-20 below weather this is all we had to do. man i love the eletric football set i just bought 4 of them at a thrift store. and i also found all of the teams still in the oringal plastic bags for 59 cent. my uncle got me hook on this game my first set was the Cleveland Browns VS NY Jets
Man I wish I still had my electric football set. Between my brother Dereke & cousin Harold, the three of us had all 28 teams back then before expanded to 32 teams. We had every team in home & away jersey's.....I would love to get my hands on one right now....
According to our rules, a tackle is defined as when an opponent hits more than half of the base of a runner in the back and front. That's a tackle. Thanks for your comments.
I had this game too. Worked about just as well yours. I had one guy who was just spin around in circles until you turned off the vibrator. But back then this was high tech!
i have the same electric football game and all 28 teams from the late 70's (before panthers, ravens, jaguars, texans , or titans....houston oilers later become tennessee titans.
me too, jabrone. i tried to pass my love of the game down to my son, but he didn't understand the novelty of it. theirs is the playstation generation. i have all 32 teams. i'm joining a league next fall.
your talking about the tripple threat right yeah he cant kick and he cant throw and even if he does how do the other players catch sorry sir im only fifteen and i got mine at a yard sell so may you please inform the whole thing to me
He can kick or punt; you pause the game (electricity) to do those two actions. When you throw the nerf ball, if it hits a player on your team, that player catches the ball. If it hits an opposing team player, then it is an interception. So you literally cock the arm back and aim.
Dude! that sure brings back alot of great memory's. i still have one of those in my moms attic, i believe the teams were the KC Chiefs and M vikings, now i have to make a trip and see if i can find it.
Thanks for the support. Check out our latest HIGH DEF SONY video clips of the 2008 Superbowl. Our teams are slightly different than the actual Superbowl

During the 1970's, I painted my NFL teams using a needle. I would take me a week to paint the logos on the helmet. But I made them look REAL!

The little foam balls got lost soooo easily, I gave up and made them with aluminum foil. and bent a paper clip for a QB.

@jeromenealsr
I remeber the ball for the game I had was a magnet shaped like a flat football.

can you throw passes with those
GOrockets11 3 years ago
Yes, you can. They have footballs that you can throw with a special EF quarterback. We choose not to throw in this game.

madden, old skool style, i want for xmas, fit for the ultimate football fan.
denverbroncosrock07 4 years ago
yeah- makes me Madden, too!
Was anyone really any good with that mutant QB/kicker?
Threw the damn football into the next county by scale!!!!!
ShotsloppyD 4 years ago
That was amazing. It's a shame that with Madden and stuff around no one appreciates electric football anymore.
jcgamer107 4 years ago
I agree.. This beats Madden & other video stuff by far because it's so unpredictable and genuine!
Beetle8 4 years ago
I had this myself. I had the Cowboys and the Steelers (1978) In the 1970's---this was our Madden.

Once played one of these where the ball carrier went in circles and the rest of the players went to the sidelines...Hilarious.
vidlivs 5 years ago
Indeed, most of the plays are fascinating and very unpredictable! That's the fun about E.F.
Beetle8 5 years ago
Yes, that's the best part of it -- it feels the same when I was a kid playing E.F.

this is very funny, electric football + "NFL Commentary" = a 5! plus you use a magnet for bonus score!
