  • A good transition from Music to Noise.

  • guitar and drums.............. disasters. :(

  • Nothing is spoilt men. They accompanied their best. You people are disgusting.Mango is mango..you may take it green or ripe as you like..the taste differs but it remains the same glorified mango.Let them try for better, encourage them...they don't mean to spoil your nuts.

  • blunder in d name of fusion....

proud we still hav ppl like rashid khan in our country........

  • really bad blend........

  • Veena is too good. She is AK Devi, permanent veena accompanist for Ilayaraja Sir....

  • bhava raaga and tala...aur kya manga?

  • Fantastic!

  • These are market forces. The only way to counter them would be for young people to create a niche market for classical music. In Pakistan, such an initiative has been undertaken : check out Lahore Music Forum on Youtube. There is still a long way to go . Classical music is an acquired taste. It cannot have mass appeal like Jugni .

  • Why are they all destroying such wonderful music-people like Rashid Khan are also participating! Come on at least not people of his caliber! He is not meant for this BULL!! This is UGLY CHAOS...People don't bow down to these MNCs, at least not good musicians...

Learn some lesson from the Pakistan Coke Studio, if only You have to go on this line...

  • Can this song be edited and re uploaded so that the bands and guitar can be cut off. They are screwing up the beauty of classical music. Especially the band. He doesn't know when to use the brass, and thinks he is accompanying an English or one of those badly composed Bollywood pop song.

  • Agree that background music spoils the divineness of Ustadji

  • yes thats Veena

  • Is it vina instrument ?

  • Please don spoil music in the name of fusion!

  • Classical music is so dominating, pleasant and divine, nothing else falls into your ears... coke studio should improvise to keep the originality, I bet there will be more followers.........

  • I just don't understand why so many people have so little respect for our music! this is chaos. this music is all spices all at once - no net taste. what is it that our music is so badly needing that we have to go and do this?

if we let go of discipline in our music we disrespect all of our own parampara. our music is what it is today because it nurtures creativity within discipline. let go of that and we lose everything.

  • @ovliquevideo i so agree with u!

  • @ovliquevideo i agree with you too, however id just like to say if the fusion matches the serenity of the classical piece then i guess its no harm done. As in, i agree, in this clip there is an interlude of fusion along with the veena. personally it would have been nicer just the veena on its own with the tabla and the other background instruments instead of the electric guitar simply because its a large powerful instrument with a sharp noise and thus dulls the beauty of Ustaad's voice.

  • Such me...the background music is awful....

  • What a disgraceful back ground music! I have no idea which idiot decided to insult the beauty of Ustad Rashid Khan's , Jayashree and Veena players absolutely devine music. Why people have to innovate something to destroy the beauty of classical music! These idiots can learn from Pakistani Coke studios stupendous work They have enhanced the beauty of every kind of music. Just listen to 'Paimona'.

Let us not insult our masters like Rashid Khan. They deserve respect.

  • absolutely brilliant turnaround from the not-so-encouraging episodes earlier- very proud mtv cs!

  • Charukeshi

  • it is sooooo sweat
