Based on sound only, the S1 one in left lane was the 12a.
Both came out stock with a 12a, but the S3 had a ltd 13b range. I owned a white s3 12a which looked like the one in the right lane.
Not much difference with performance in a stock form, but a ported & injected 13b is where it's at, and always been (apart from 20B)

Well, I don't think you wana get into Carburators... I suggest a 13B
(I own a S5 RX7, its a 13B still daily drive it.)

@mazdarx7head...the one in the left lane is a sa22c...it has the older tail lights, and no side molding, it also doesnt have the molded bumpers that the fb has. the 13b wasn't offered in the sa22c as far as i know...
