I think the world has gone crazy over the past decade because of the arrogant way the Americans view themselves. Always the big hero's when i think the music that comes out of Europe and especially the UK is far better than the US. It's all this r&b rubbish that has wreck the music industry. I do not see much similarities to bjork here. bjork is experimental pop princess, but dido's music is rather poppy, compared to bjork's and her singing is pretty much standard. childish comments like Edhunter665's usually tell a lot about artist and his fans. but i have read somewhere dido did cover of bjork song ?

Bjork...she has some icelandic pop dont you think? Dido is pop but yet it's alternative..not quite the same as other pop music. The reality is she actually sings, electronics dont recover her voice if she messes up, and I haven't once seen a live performance where she lip-syncs.

bjork is known for her unique melodies and inventing her own vocal style. Not "pretentious" like you see that. Dido is very great but rather normal pop, at least from my point. they are too different to be compared. Maybe compare Dido to Tori Amos ?

not sure about your last part, bjork cancelled her gigs when she had problems with voice. she always sings live. the only exception was that theatrical performance at olympic event, but it could not be done live. dido would do the same if asked.

She is so beautiful and so is her voice. One of the most underrated songs she has on this album. The best in my book.

man thier are so many things about this that are a perfect example of why i love her so much. all those little moves she does with her hands, the expressions on her face as she sings, the amazing sound of her voice especially in the chorus, and her incredible command of the microphone. everything about her is so gooood.

Antscolumbia: Get out of my head, lol! I was thinking the same thing. I've read comments in which people complain that Dido doesn't move around enough when she performs, but she does. Sometimes she's subtle, sometimes she's energetic, but she is always expressive. The point is not whether she moves, but that her music moves us!
