On the right, Rigoletto (Tezier), the duke's jester and his daughter Gilda (Nerebko) , who has been inloved with the Duke, arrive a Madalenna's house, and Gilda witness the betrayal by the Duke. She is heartbreaken and Rigoletto promises to have a revenge.

I'm really impressed with everyone in this clip except Tezler, but I guess Rigoletto isn't supposed to stand out very much in this quartet. Netrebko sounds better than ever (and I'm not a fan), Vargas has a great stage presence, and Garanca is the best of the four.

This is an outstanding performance from all of the four singers. Of couse, Sr. Vargas is the star. He is the most experienced and has the longest career among the four. It's not a small task to have a stellar career like Sr. Vargas' (no hype, no marketing, a career solidly built with consistant outstanding performances).
