When I built my layout, I was looking for the longest stretch of track possible. Because I'm so bad at scenery, I focus on getting as much main line and yard as I can. I suggest planning your layout out on paper first, then build scale mock-ups of what you want out of paper to get an idea of how it will all go togather.
im just starting my layout 2 i just bought a dcc set with 2 locos and a third loco but 1st i have 2 get a spot to put it
