  • That chick must have a fine ass :)

  • Stupid guy, he isn't know about iPad with Auto Light up mode to view outside.

  • If anyone wants to try try get there hands on a free kindle, try out w w w(dot)swagbucks(dot)com/refer/WiseVictor. You can get another thing too :P.

  • 58 ppl dont like to read...and the sun XD

  • Song anyone?

  • kindles are the best ereaders

if you like all the extra stuff the ipad can do get an iphone

the iphone is cheaper than the ipad and is so much smaller

laptops, phones, and ipods are the best at what they do

by combining them you create the ipad

which is hard to carry, hard to talk on the phone with and impossible to read of without getting sore eyes

apple is trying so hard to make something that can do everything it becomes hard for it to do the things it was originally made to do

  • Rip off artist! Apple is better than Amazon. You can set the iPad's screen info. And you can read on the iPad. DUH!

  • @MrUinfo You can download Amazon Kindle app onto the iPAD and still have all the features of Kindle, thus making Kindle the more flexible. I searched for an iPAD emulator for the Kindle - there isn't one. Why not, because Apple like to keep their customers chained to them. As mentioned above you can put Kindle on the iPAD and iPhone - but ONLY VIA APPLE's APP_STORE. Yet any PC or WinMobile can just download it and run it from Amazon's site - try it, go on. Oh no, I forgot, you've got Apple!

  • It's not an iPad 'till it has a home button, so quit bitching. The facts are indeed Kindle is godlike for reading, I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't use e-ink for their million dollar product. They're advertising an eBook reader, which obviously an iPad is not, and will never be. Thumbs up for the iPad when Apple's gonna make a commercial trying to humiliate the Kindle's multimedia features. Oh wait. They're not that stupid, are they?

  • "I actually paid more for these sunglasses"

And took a short course in ventriloquism. She does not move her mouth!

  • @colourfulsmile uhm... yeah she does

  • ill buy her instead of both of them......

  • iPAD in the dark. Hands up those who actually sit in bed and read or work on the iPAD in TOTAL DARKNESS.... one... two.. three... four...six...eight.... any advance on the 8 University head under the covers study geeks, any, any ... no? Aha - so we all use ambient light? Why are we discussing this?

  • i tend to judge books buy their size, smell, feel and page stiffness even before i read it. With the kindle they're all the same so i can read ten ton books that i wouldn't usually read because they're so heavy. Amazing device

  • Comment removed

  • amazon kindle evil disturbing!! ad funny?.wmv

  • This ad wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for Apple trying to claim they were the best e-reader while attempting to push Amazon out of the market by forcing publishers to raise their prices.

Apple has an amazing device that does a ton of stuff very well. Really there shouldn't be any comparison between the two but Apple pushed the issue so Amazon fought back.

Yes the iPad is cool, but the Kindle is better for reading.

Buy what you want and be happy with it and let others do the same.

  • Okay i just found out that the laugh at the end isn't on the actual ad.

  • Comment removed

  • mmm... They are different kind of products. Kindle is just a e-reader, Ipad is more than a e-reader. I think we can't compare them

  • too cool commercial!!

(@JMGameVideos: of corse, you're right - but the clip is anyway funny)

  • Comment removed

  • fuckk that shit get up nd ead fatasses fuk technology

  • @SaNdAgO619 Very articulate expression from a trogladite.

  • @jesulaaa you obviously don't know what kindle is for. Reading. Not like iPad it only is for reading, and it does it damn well.

  • 50 macfags rated this video

  • to the k to the i to the n to the d to the l to the e!!!! GOOOOOOO KINDLE

  • 49 people are Apple fan

  • wtf

  • that laugh at the end creeped me out...

  • who brings their netbook to the pool, on a beautiful sunny day? go fucking swim tards.

  • Just cause she smells like fish doesn't mean shes evil or disturbing. Gosh, talk about mislabeled videos.

  • @theprimeform mmm i wan taste that fish

  • Later the girl turns and says, how are you watching YouTube videos, browsing the web, playing games, typing a document and listening to music on your e reader ???? And how are you doing it in the dark ?

    Guy: it's an iPad.

  • @JMGameVideos lol they both suck!

    Ipad is WAY overpriced.

Might as well get an ipod touch, they're the same specs...

  • @JMGameVideos yeah because most Apple fanboy's spend most of their time in a dark room with their iPads.

  • @JMGameVideos Then girl pulls out her laptop. Whoa how are you able to do all the same things as me PLUS use CDs and Flashdrives?

Girl: It's a laptob, better than an ipad

  • @DeathlyDavid Exactly! I don't need a laptop to use my Kindle!

  • @vailmcc ipad is nice but its just a flat laptop that does less than a laptop. Apple is claiming ipad is the best and most realistic reading experience. its not. Real ereaders like the kindle and the nook are the best reading experience.

  • @DeathlyDavid I like that, but actually the iPAD is a swollen iPHONE - except you can ring out on it. Not to mention the fact that one of the FREE downloadable APPS for the iPAD is KINDLE - yes, you Apple guys, you can run KINDLE on your iPAD....

  • @JMGameVideos Sorry to burst your fanboy bubble, but the Kindle does surf the web, does play music, and more. You should do a little research before talking about something you know nothing about.

  • @JMGameVideos

And she says WOW! and how much is that and he says, only $649, after which she gets out her mini note book, loogs it up on google and says, 'you're right!' oh by the way this mini wifi notebook cost me just $199 dollars, so my two together still cost me less than you topless easy to break iPAD.... more cackling laughter

  • @bobcurby yeah, and you have WiFi on the beach ? You can get a 3g iPad just as you can get a 3g netbook, and where can you get a notebook for 100$? Plus, the iPad can do a lot more than a ''mini WiFi netbook''

  • @JMGameVideos Do you just like to argue or do you actually think about your previous comments? Through this thread you have changed your mind four times.

I can't take you seriously. Adios amigo.

  • @JMGameVideos That's retarded! You're comparing an ebook to a computer. This commercial is comparing ebook to ebook and apple ebook fails. Bottom line is, you can't read apple ebook where there is light. If you read in the dark, you're reading into something very bright..which is just as retarded.

  • @jdoramaking The iPad is not an eBook reader, why is this ad comparing it to the kindle, it that is an eBook reader. That makes no sense whatsoever taking your point in count

  • @JMGameVideos One of the features that is bragged and advertised is that ipad is also an e-book reader and will change the ebook industry. Did you not hear about the apple ebook store? The ad is comparing ipad to ebook reader because obviously for many people, they are looking to buy ebook readers and ipad is among the choices. Obviously, you can't help but feel like a turn with all the glare and brightness.

  • @JMGameVideos

it's an iPad. a seven hundred dollars

  • @JMGameVideos - There's a difference: Amazon is not trying to sell the kindle as a tablet, but Apple is trying to sell the iPad as an eBook reader.

  • @JMGameVideos I think the bigger question would be, WHY are you watching Youtube videos, browsing the web, playing games, typing a document, and listening to music instead of just relaxing and letting your imagination soar out here. :p

  • @JMGameVideos or if shes talking to me,

    me: its an iphone

  • @termanogue 49 people just didnt like the fucking video

stop pointing out the fucking obvious, cunt

  • Meh, I couldn't tell the difference.

    Sent from an iPad 3G

  • Kindle to iPad in the dark... I have a home that has a LED night light that runs off my internal battery, and I can run for days, how about you... (cue crickets chirping)

Hey, Apple fanboys, face up to it, the Kindle offers a better reading experience, period. I like reading. I like reading for hours at a time without eye strain. I like reading on vacation, in the sun, on the beach. The iPad doesn't offer the same reading experience. I am getting an iPad, but not for reading.

    David

  • who in their right mind would buy a piece of unuseful crap like a Kindle? when it can do everything the iPad does... then this commercial would make sense, until then, burn down in hell KingleMingle

  • @JESULAAA the Kindle is for reading, and it is better than the iPad at that. The iPad is for people who want more than reading.

  • Rumor has it, you play this video 6 times on your iPad, and it'll start getting hellfire....or overheating like some people call it.....

  • @Vitreo 10 times on the iPad... no 'overheat'

and I'm under the blazing sun.. and yes can see perfectly, the chump in the vid. toned down the brightness ;)

  • The laugh at the end probably scared Apple.

  • a few seconds late she turns to him saying "Excuse me, how are you web browsing, playing with games and typing a document on your e-reader"

    "It's an iPad"

  • @iDatAsianKid

thats why i stopped reading books. no web browsing or games. without those books are pointless.

  • I'll buy a kindle once someone finds a way to Jailbreak it. That way I can get free books. Then I won't have to go to that damn 'library' place.

  • The All-Knew Book: Starts at $5.

  • ipad and kindle in the dark.. kindle to ipad: how are you reading that.. ipad: it's an ipad..

    battle done.

  • @ig33ve exactly, the kindle is only better in direct sunlight, which is not where most people are reading

  • @brentzittel The Kindle, not being back-lit, is better in all lights. At night you turn on a lamp or get a book light -- like you do with a print book.

  • LMAO KINDLE VS IPAD...AND KINDLE WINS!!!!!! XD JAJAJAJAJAAJA APPLE SUX!!!!

  • under $39 sounds a lot better than $139

  • @spandexninja 5 cents sounds better than $39, what are you talking about>

  • seriously? why the fuck would someone pay so much money for something so stupid

  • @yummy229100 --- hands up those who paid for the Crazy Frog ringtone.....??

  • real book i only paid 6 dollars

  • Apple got raped !!!

  • eh i have an ebook app for my crackberry that was free so suck a taint kindle users :D

  • Top right corner, couple walks by twice.

    0:20 Her mouth doesn't move.

  • i love how books smell, i like licking my F***ing fingertips and turn F***ing pages. i like the sound they make. if you feel the same go buy a real book. xD.

  • awesome ad :) its only a humerous dig at the ipad... im sure they get that there are many things which the ipad can do which a kindle cant - but reading a book in bright sunlight isnt one of them. Also, has anyone else noticed the really hot lady in this?

  • i do, ive spent over $400 on my Livestrong Jaw Bone Sunglasses

  • who spends $139.01+ on sunglasses?

  • @progressivescan09 i spent 170 on my costas

  • Yeah but can you watch an HD movie, browse the web, listen to music, view photos, play games, download hundreds of thousands of apps, and read books in color with physics on a Kindle? No, you can't.

  • @caboose1289 u cant play any good games on the ipad so shut it

  • @spike51234 Are you kidding me? There are tons of great games for the iPad. You obviously don't own one.

  • @caboose1289 I can't do those things on my coffeepot, either, and it's a perfectly fine coffeepot. All I want to do is carry a library around with me and choose to read a book from it, and for that the Kindle is perfect.

  • @Kilianm Yeah but nobody's comparing your coffee pot to the iPad are they? I'm not saying the Kindle is bad at all, its just not comparable to the iPad since they are different devices. You can read eBooks on the iPad, yes, but its not the sole purpose of the device, with the Kindle it is. The commercial just doesn't make that much sense in that aspect.

  • @caboose1289 watch out for the Mk III Kindle....

  • The goof ball has the iPad upside down or its a buttonless iPad LOL I don't see any button on the top either.

  • ca reste un gadjet de merde , vive le papier

  • I read my Kindle in bright sunlight, and I don't even own sunglasses. Since the Kindle isn't backlit, the brighter the ambient light, the easier it is to read. Yes, dead-tree books also work well in sunlight, but carrying a library around on a Kindle weighs ounces not pounds. 1 book or 1000 books, the weight is the same.

  • @Kilianm But does it have a backlight for reading in the dark?

  • @Wuhzman No. It is *not* backlit. It uses ambient light. No backlighting, none, nada, nicht, zilch, zip. Just like a book.

  • I read my Kindle in bright sunlight, and I don't even own sunglasses. Since the Kindle isn't backlit, the brighter the ambient light, the easier it is to read.

  • Bull sht... Even though I hate the ipad, IDE prefer it because You CAN RAISE THE BRIGHTNESS dumbass

  • @NME173 is that supposed to be a good thing for the ipad? the brighter it is, the power it uses up, dumb ass yourself. The kindle3 lasts for up to a month on one charge. Plus if its in the dark it will hurt your eyes ALOT. GO outside in bright sunlight with a laptop and put it on high brightness, its still washes out or glares. The kindle doesnt. So whats your point....

  • I am 12 and what is this?

  • @pifreak314 It's an ad for fake books!!

  • @pifreak314 LOL

  • @pifreak314 - This is a digital book, which has the capacity to hold a lot of books. So if you like reading, have a lot of favorite books, and most of these come with internet that you can purchase books through their sites.

It is just another sign of our increasing technology. It is awesome.

  • the b1tch is hot

  • what a great play!^^

  • WTF is a kindle I really don't know

  • its a shitzu

  • i prefer the ipad

  • watch?v=qYfO8PGb_H4

    must see !!!!!

  • @glumac007 I watched it it was nasty

  • She' s hot.

  • What the fuck is a book?

  • @kingbrawler15 Some one told me its a stack of paper with words written on them! is that true?

  • I own a Kindle. I use it to read books. Go figure.

  • I'll stick with the iPad... and I was never one to read under the BLAZING SUN!!!

I prefer cold days and you know.. real books!

  • @willwork4superpowazz So, if I read a book on my Kindle and you read a print version, how exactly was your book more real than mine?

  • @chellegame Real books as opposed to E-books... please tell me your not THAT dumb and that reply was a joke.

  • @willwork4superpowazz Yes, I understand that you think print books are more real than e-books. I disagree.

  • @chellegame OMG I didn't meat it ... -___- you know there's a philosophical term and a literal term, I can see you have 0 knowledge of what either of them are. If not and you do know this, than you have horrible perception.

  • Oh lol XD the bass at the end of the video is from>>> bass mekanik :P

  • Can it take pictures? No, so shut the fuck up.

  • Yeah Because Two People At The Same Time Right Next To Eachother Would Be Using A 'Kindle' And An iPad By A Swimming Pool..

  • ok, so you're on vacation sitting poolside, and you're playing around on your kindle or ipad?

  • @chadd990 Yes, a lot of people read on vacation, because -- you know -- they see reading as a pleasure.

  • @chellegame

thats not even the point. whatever though, take my comments out of context as you please; as i see, that is what you get pleasure from.

  • @chadd990 What is the missing context? I have no intention of misrepresenting your words. My interpretation is that you didn't see reading as a fun leisure time activity, but tell me where I'm mistaken.

  • @chellegame

its just the fact that you're on a computer on your vacation. normally i do see people reading actual books poolside. i understand people also enjoy playing video games for fun, but if i were to see someone playing a gameboy poolside, i'd laugh. on the other hand, if a couple people were playing chess outside, it'd be different. theres just something about computers and nature that just doesnt mix. you still may disagree with me on my view, but that's what you misunderstood.

  • @chadd990 I take my laptop on vacation too, not that I lug it to the pool. A lot of people do look forward to reading on vacation though, especially people who don't have enough time while at home. I think a vacation is whatever the person wants it to be. :) I really wasn't trying to misrepresent your point.

  • here's a thought....just read an actual book?

  • @dickish11 Blasphemy!

  • Amazon should have taken the easy route... And just stated the fact that an iPad is a stretched out iPod Touch. Everyone always says "it's great for internet!" Great for internet?! It doesn't even have Flash! How the fuck is it good for internet?! And if it's competing with netbooks (which are fully-functional PCs), then why the fuck is it running the same OS as an iPhone? Why does it only have 32GB of disk space? It's a pile of shit. But Apple marketing techniques will have you believe it isn't

  • @AutoJew I actually agree for the most part. I don't get the ipad. But I think it's cause they want an apple product and it's cheaper than getting apple's laptops. I think ipads go for around 500 bucks. you could probably get a netbook for around that I would guess. so yeah.... no idea why people buy them. My friends who have them say their "pretty cool actually".

  • @freezazoid I have an iPhone and love it. However, the iPad is a different issue. I can do EVERYTHING on my phone, that I could do on an iPad, yet Apple are willing to make a "new" product, take the camera off it, leave the same dated technology, and price it in the same bracket as laptops! It's ridiculous, considering the average netbook runs Windows! (not to mention it having about 60GB of hard-drive at entry-level). I guess the question concerning the commission of the iPad is; why?

  • @AutoJew Maybe the fact that netbooks run windows is the problem. hahah. I was on my moms dell the other day when she asked me for help with something... I gave up. It brought back those old thoughts I had as a teenager in the early 90's wanting to smash my computer. And also made me remember why I switched to mac. The whole time I was helping her I just kept saying "mom, if you had a mac, all you'd have to do is..." Then she'd yell back "MY GENEOLOGY PROGRAMS DON'T WORK ON MAC'S!!!!!"

  • @freezazoid If you can't figure out how to use Windows, you're a fucking idiot.

  • @bobburn winders lol.. havent used that as primary os since 1996... i've been on linux since then.

  • @freezazoid OK, I see this spiralling into a hate contest of Windows vs. Macintosh. The point is, the iPad runs the same OS as your iPod or iPhone, which is disastrous.

  • bullshit! iPad is way multi-functional than kindle!

  • @magicpandora Yes, it is -- if only that was the point of the commercial which is about which is the better book reader. If you want something that does a lot of things okay, definitely go with the iPad. If you want the best book reader available today, but a Kindle.

  • is that laugh apart of the real commercial?? thats some creepy shit. kindle blows

  • @7o7munoz7o7 no

  • totalie reduckculcie

  • 0:25 sounds like a laughing retard in the first place >_>

  • Excuse me? What shoes are those? Ah crapmax, 20 dollars. Why say the damn price?

  • you know real books work great in sunlight, and the battery life is amazing.

  • @gothkyd All the books on a Kindle -- totally real.

  • @gothkyd Amen!

  • @gothkyd LMAOOOOOOOO

  • @gothkyd great comment, +1 up ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @gothkyd cheap too!

  • @gothkyd lmfao

  • @gothkyd ROFL LOLZ :P 65 vote ups. congratulations.

  • @gothkyd yeah but can you bring 150 books with you on a trip? i think not

  • @j3ts3tt3r Yea, but why the living fuck would you bring 150 books just for a trip? I mean if you were moving to a different country or something like that, then it would be useful in THAT situation. But in most situations, just get off your ass and buy a book for 1/30 of the price of some electronic reader.

  • Man do I love swimming, but not as much as I love taking my expensive electronic device next to some water and reading instead

  • @profsim I thought the same thing when I saw the ad. Then you can go swimming and leave the expensive device on the chair, to be stolen, while you are in the water. You'll wish that you had brought a $6.99 paperback instead.

  • why the hell is the brightness set so low for the ipad??

  • @HJahinK Don't need the battery life draining so fast! DUH!

  • his ipad just gave him a convo starter

  • Comment removed

  • Amazon aren't allowed to slate Apple for misleading the truth, Check the ASA

(Advertising Standards Authority) Amazon will have had to tell apple exactly what they where planning to say about them, otherwise the advertising would have been pulled. Amazon are only allowed to say they have better contrast than apple only if it's true, Kindle can't do much else apart from read you a book and some other stuff, so if competition is stiff, i,e Ipad, they're gonna go for any angle they can get.
