@9secondsflat ..yup, 1 is your main drain on the frame..and 2 is underneath the crank case where oil sits after you run your bike, and 3 is your oil filter cap...not sure how every other bike is setup...but thats how the drz supermoto is.
@SuperMotoVideo i got a quick question i have a brand new drz400 only 350 miles and i have the 5 year warranty.does it void the warranty if i change the oil myself? i dont want to pay tons of money just for oil changes thanks!!
Crush washers crush when you torque the bolt and need to be replaced every oil change. The coned end of the crush washer should be next to the bolt head per the factory manual.
@YamahaRiderPro ..i usually turn it on for a few seconds, shift threw the gears so the oil fills back to the frame from the sump if the bike has been sitting for a day or so.. and reads pretty accurate to me.
will do i just finish doing everything had to wait a day to get parts but i also had to replace the spark plug had to take off the tank damn gas the elthonol acts like water if you let it set for a while with gas in it but now i cant get it started im pretty pissed
@Junior78811 ..thanks for the comment... i didnt find too many drz400 supermoto oil change videos, so i made a simple to understand quick video...glad it was helpful ..check out my front brake pad replacement video if you want.
@SuperMotoVideo You should toss a video together for the clutch, No one has one of those "same thing for every bike" But the DRZ is a very popular bike
i changed my oil and then add the recommended amount of oil, then when i ran it for 3 minutes and turned it off for 1 minute and checked the level it was below LOW. so i added some and now it shows over FULL, it also is leaking? hepl .... please!
@fragmasterkarl ...you can use them a few times...but once they are flat, its suggested that you get new ones....i bought a bag of the crank case and main oil drain...its cheap...its just my habit to change them with every oil change.
Just finished mine, thanks for the tutorial.... If you see this message can you hit me back and explain the 3x3 mod, and I see you drilled some holes in the numberplate panel? To get more air? I have the same year bike and the oil was horribly black with only 1000 miles on the bike. So it does not take long to spoil.... Thanks again great video....
Great! Thank you man!

what if i don't get a reading on the dip stick after doing this?
userios 1 month ago
@userios ...im not sure.. i would try to add some more oil until you get a reading...
you can always empty if too full...but if your empty or too low you can damage your motor.
but i have always had a good reading with 2 full quarts of oil around 1800ml.

Please remove this video. There are 3 drain plugs. Following this instruction will result in overfilling and a big oily mess

07350zhr 4 months ago
@07350zhr ..you only void warranty if you do engine work like big bore kits cams ect..
doing your own oil change should be ok...but just to be safe just call your dealer and ask.

Is it bad if I use 15/50 semi Motul oil? I was informed that the gear box will feel smoother with a different oil.
