  • Great! Thank you man!

  • what is that three extra holes on ur air-filter cover for?

  • thank you so much for this,. :))

  • well thanks, this vid saves me all the hassle of looking in the book where all the drains are.

  • what if i don't get a reading on the dip stick after doing this?

  • @userios ...im not sure.. i would try to add some more oil until you get a reading...

you can always empty if too full...but if your empty or too low you can damage your motor.

but i have always had a good reading with 2 full quarts of oil around 1800ml.

  • Do the DRZ 400's have magnetic drain plugs stock?

  • @Fordgt401965 ..yup the stock plug is magnetic ;)

  • Great video. Can do my own changes for $30.00

  • Please remove this video. There are 3 drain plugs. Following this instruction will result in overfilling and a big oily mess

  • what year is ur bike?

  • so there are 2 drain plugs on the sm?

  • @9secondsflat ..yup, 1 is your main drain on the frame..and 2 is underneath the crank case where oil sits after you run your bike, and 3 is your oil filter cap...not sure how every other bike is setup...but thats how the drz supermoto is.

  • @SuperMotoVideo i got a quick question i have a brand new drz400 only 350 miles and i have the 5 year warranty.does it void the warranty if i change the oil myself? i dont want to pay tons of money just for oil changes thanks!!

  • @07350zhr ..you only void warranty if you do engine work like big bore kits cams ect..

doing your own oil change should be ok...but just to be safe just call your dealer and ask.

  • Crush washers crush when you torque the bolt and need to be replaced every oil change. The coned end of the crush washer should be next to the bolt head per the factory manual.

  • Thanks for the video!!!

  • Excellent Video, well shot easy to understand. Can you please do one for a KTM 640 LC4 !!

  • Very helpful thanks, I always wondered why it showed so full.... I will run the bike and shift some gears now.

  • need a video how to change liquid coolant please.ciaoooo!!!

  • thank you . very easy

  • very helpfull thanks.

  • P.S I wanna live in your garage!!

  • This video is amazing thankyou!!

  • Great video, many thanks!

  • how do u check the oil on these bikes i was looking at one and i cant figure it out. dipstick is always dry but i ko theirs oil in there

  • @YamahaRiderPro ..i usually turn it on for a few seconds, shift threw the gears so the oil fills back to the frame from the sump if the bike has been sitting for a day or so.. and reads pretty accurate to me.

  • Is it bad if I use 15/50 semi Motul oil? I was informed that the gear box will feel smoother with a different oil.

  • @Crana ..im not sure...ill have to do some research to find out about that...

  • will do i just finish doing everything had to wait a day to get parts but i also had to replace the spark plug had to take off the tank damn gas the elthonol acts like water if you let it set for a while with gas in it but now i cant get it started im pretty pissed

  • this is impressive man thanks it was very helpful working on my drz now more videos should be like this

  • @Junior78811 ..thanks for the comment... i didnt find too many drz400 supermoto oil change videos, so i made a simple to understand quick video...glad it was helpful ..check out my front brake pad replacement video if you want.

  • @SuperMotoVideo Got one for the clutch by chance?

  • @SuperMotoVideo You should toss a video together for the clutch, No one has one of those "same thing for every bike" But the DRZ is a very popular bike

  • this is impressive man thanks it was very helpful working on my drz now more videos should be like this

  • hi, what type of oil do you use, i have a drz 400 from 2006 and i use 10w40 100% sintetic

  • @l30n3x ..10w/40 synthetic oil Suzuki brand

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperMotoVideo Thanks alot your awesome !!! Subbed to you !!! :D

  • Thanks, very helpful.

  • i changed my oil and then add the recommended amount of oil, then when i ran it for 3 minutes and turned it off for 1 minute and checked the level it was below LOW. so i added some and now it shows over FULL, it also is leaking? hepl .... please!

  • thanks :) First oil change on my new-to-me DRZ done beautifully thanks to you!

  • @DogmaticShrew ...Glad my video helped ;)

  • do you have to change the crush washers ?.. i just changed mine.. and not change now bit worried :P

    Cheers

    karl

  • @fragmasterkarl ...you can use them a few times...but once they are flat, its suggested that you get new ones....i bought a bag of the crank case and main oil drain...its cheap...its just my habit to change them with every oil change.

  • @SuperMotoVideo

Ok cheers.. I will have to pick some up for my next change :)

Thanks for this video tho mate.. Its very much appreciated and helped me out for my first change..

    Regards

    karl

  • Good job man.

  • Just finished mine, thanks for the tutorial.... If you see this message can you hit me back and explain the 3x3 mod, and I see you drilled some holes in the numberplate panel? To get more air? I have the same year bike and the oil was horribly black with only 1000 miles on the bike. So it does not take long to spoil.... Thanks again great video....

  • Very usefull video.

    Thanks my friend ;)

  • yamahas manual says oil change every 3000 miles, why every 500 miles on this one?

  • @Batmanbeyon ...I choose to...why wait for the oil to break down and get all black??

my bike still runs like its day 1.

  • How many miles are you doing between oil changes ?

  • @uptowndisco2 ...500miles on the mark..everytime!!!

  • Nice pitbike ;)

  • That it bike is sweet, but what is the red honda?

  • @VollgasHero looks like a CRF250x or 450x
