spider-man has his adavanteges dontthink i spelled it right but also wolverine has his tricks 2 and all depends on were there fighting if its near a river or something spider-man could drown him but if they fight in a tropical place wolverine could win
haven't looked at much of the rabbleage going on here, but if it were the X-men vs Spiderman, Spiderman would be flattened (by sheer numbers, even if it was just the original 5 members). if it was 1 on 1, it could be a toss-up. Obviously Spidey would flatten Pixie, but vs Colossus, etc, he could be on the losing end.
on a side note, I'd just like to say that I'd like to see a faceoff of the "What If.... Wolverine vs. Spiderman" Spiderman vs. various heroes. that would be pretty awesome.

@HowToHDTutorials their are many ways to kill people with a healing factor. and drowning is one of them, the reason for that cutting of the oxygen to the brain prevents the brain from telling the body to repair itself, of course logan's body is adamantium coated, wich is a metal alloy, and if maggs wanted to he could crush and bend his bonest into the shape of an orb or rip his body apart, im just making you aware he can die, it seems i'm more aware of his limits healing factor or not.

The body simply does not heal from suffocation. All Spidey would have to do is cover Wolverine's head completely in webbing and trap his arms to his sides. He's done it to many people who are much stronger than Wolverine...

If you don't believe me, then you should read "The House of M" saga, where spidey tries to pass himself off as a mutant, so he can get the fame and fortune of a mutant, and he is exposed as not getting his powers genetically, like a mutant, but from a spider.

On TV show Mutant X all the mutants were artifically mutanted.
@hydrolito The problem with using your "Mutant X" theory is that Mutant X isn't based in the marvel universe... the only thing that it has in common with Marvel is the name it shares with the comic "Marvel X" which takes place in an alternate universe where Havok (Cyclopes' Brother) ended up for a year. Anyways, I said nothing about Uncle Ben... because that has nothing to do with the fact that Peter isn't a mutant in the Marvel Comics, Movie, or Cartoon Shows.
What'd be really cool is if the Symbiote somehow merged with Jean Grey and that's what made her into the Phoenix. Yes, I know that that's not what went down in the comics, but I don't care. It'd tie them together well.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Spiderman techincally considered a mutant? That'd make for a good crossover between the two: one of the motivations for Peter using the symbiote is the cure.
@stitch99 i wouldnt say so. mutants get their powers from a mutant gene that arises after puberty. they are "born" mutants. spiderman was a human before his dna was altered and given his powers. its like saying "if a red head dies her hair blonde, is she tecnically considered a blonde?"

I favor Wolverine over Spiderman but thinking "logically" Spiderman has the upper hand in pretty much every way. He has enhanced dexterity and strength and can fight at a distance and climb walls. Whereas Wolverine has claws and a healing factor. Given that Spidey wraps up Wolverine, the fight is done. His claws may be able to cut through anything, but if his arms are bound correctly, he is done for. He has the strength of a normal man and cannot break Spidey's webs with mere strength.

@DarkElfUberKiller It's true that he has some limited super strength beyond the average man, due to his regenerative ability and adamantium bone mass allowing him to withstand the pressures in lifting that would normally tear tendons etc. or crush the weight of human bone. He can dead lift maybe 800 lbs. but still not enough to come close to dealing with Spidey in a fight. I have to agree with CaptainL on this one. Spidey knocks him out cold or suffocates him with webbing = dead Wolverine.

@RuinMoon66 Actually He faced The Falcon on one occasion who had followed Spidey back to Peter's apartment that he was sharing with Harry Osbourne at the time. The Falcon mistook Harry for Spiderman's alter-ego & kidnapped him. Then Spidey realising what had happened went after the Falcon to save Harry. I can still remember Spidey's words in the confrontation (great artwork that issue by the by) Spidey to the Falcon, "Even your boss Captain America would think twice before taking me on." : )

They already published an edition years back where the X-men took on Spidey & almost got their collective butts kicked. I still remember Spidey after ending up in a lake surfacing & pissed saying 'Okay that's it! This is where 5 X-men get creamed by one slightly soggy Spider-man!' : )

Second, Wolverine and Spidey have fought, and it was actually rather even, as Wolverine really couldn't lay a finger on Spidey, and Spidey couldn't hurt Wolverine. However, there are about 100+ mutants in the X-Men, so a number of them could potentially defeat Spidey...

@TheAlonzi Actually, in the Marvel universe, Spider-Man, Peter Parker, is not considered a mutant. He was not born with the X-Gene, which gives mutants there abilities, he was bitten by a spider, be it radioactive, or genetically altered. If you don't believe me, then you should read "The House of M" saga, where spidey tries to pass himself off as a mutant, so he can get the fame and fortune of a mutant, and he is exposed as not getting his powers genetically, like a mutant, but from a spider.

Maybe Peter just thought he got the powers from the spider, and why others mutate who knows? Then again according to the Sentinels all humans are mutants. in one story. On TV show Mutant X all the mutants were artifically mutanted.

@hydrolito The problem with using your "Mutant X" theory is that Mutant X isn't based in the marvel universe... the only thing that it has in common with Marvel is the name it shares with the comic "Marvel X" which takes place in an alternate universe where Havok (Cyclopes' Brother) ended up for a year. Anyways, I said nothing about Uncle Ben... because that has nothing to do with the fact that Peter isn't a mutant in the Marvel Comics, Movie, or Cartoon Shows.

I favor Wolverine over Spiderman but thinking "logically" Spiderman has the upper hand in pretty much every way. He has enhanced dexterity and strength and can fight at a distance and climb walls. Whereas Wolverine has claws and a healing factor. Given that Spidey wraps up Wolverine, the fight is done. His claws may be able to cut through anything, but if his arms are bound correctly, he is done for. He has the strength of a normal man and cannot break Spidey's webs with mere strength.

@DarkElfUberKiller It's true that he has some limited super strength beyond the average man, due to his regenerative ability and adamantium bone mass allowing him to withstand the pressures in lifting that would normally tear tendons etc. or crush the weight of human bone. He can dead lift maybe 800 lbs. but still not enough to come close to dealing with Spidey in a fight. I have to agree with CaptainL on this one. Spidey knocks him out cold or suffocates him with webbing = dead Wolverine.

There isn't a contest between wolverine and spiderman for me. I love them both more then any other heroes in the marvel universe. If you judge a hero by how strong his opponents are though... well carnage and venom kind of take the cake. Sabertooth is a joke and wolverine fights heroes more often then not, he is ALWAYS pissed. It's why he is so kick ass. But hey no one beats venom for coolness and if anyone so much as mentions topher or spiderman 3 go fuck a poison coated porcupine!

The Falcon mistook Harry for Spiderman's alter-ego & kidnapped him. Then Spidey realising what had happened went after the Falcon to save Harry. I can still remember Spidey's words in the confrontation (great artwork that issue by the by) Spidey to the Falcon, "Even your boss Captain America would think twice before taking me on." : )

They already published an edition years back where the X-men took on Spidey & almost got their collective butts kicked. Admittedly it was the original X-men = Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Ice-man, Angel & Beast & Professor X wasn't on scene to help out but nevertheless it was a cool edition. I still remember Spidey after ending up in a lake surfacing & pissed saying 'Okay that's it! This is where 5 X-men get creamed by one slightly soggy Spider-man!' : )
