Tyco went from awesome RC vehicles that were wild, different, and did cool shit, and Matell reduced them to making kiddie toys that can't handle carpet. Hell, if you try to find the Tyco website now it takes you to freakin Hotwheels.

Man I had one of the Aero Hoppers. I miss that thing! I actually remember that commercial! That was back when department store RC cars were actually well built. They were good enough for kid abuse. I put mine through hell (snow, rain etc.) and it just kept going. I played with it for years. My favorite childhood toy by far. Its a shame to see the absolute junk kids have now for RC cars. I mean they are just down right terrible! Might as well buy them an expensive hobby store unit!

Holly DAMN! I had a Turbo hopper! Everytime I think of RCs, I ALWAYS think of my Turbo hopper. Those suckers were pretty good, for a kid. :) Thanks for posting this.
