BTW I counted the boot up time from pushing the turn on button to fully loaded desktop with all loaded components (including anti virus, skype, etc.), so it might seem a little long to you. The actual time from start to the moment than you can see the desktop background was around 30 seconds shorter on each operating system!
Thank you! That actually helped! I have a couple of laptops with both Vista and XP. ********** Vista booting times BEFORE: boot up - around 4 minutes shut down - around 1.5 minute Vista booting times AFTER: boot up - 2 minutes 20 seconds shut down - 37 seconds ********** XP booting times BEFORE: boot up - 2 minutes 7 seconds shut down - 42 seconds XP booting times AFTER: boot up - 1 minute 31 seconds shut down - 23 seconds
idk about xp but for vista there are several websites that give lists of all services and specifically all services you dont need. and most explain why every service can or shouldnt be turned off
Go to uninstall a program... than when you see your list of programs it should say like windows services or something on the side click it and check if run is enabled, unless u got it now ^^
Under the boot tab, how many seconds did you enable? Mine is set at 30 seconds, do you think changing it to 2 or 3 seconds will increase my boot speed?
So I followed the second video he tells you to do, and I still have not found the boot optimizer folder he is using in the tutorial. Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Great Video, its just that iTunes helper is not required for start up. I have it disabled I know what it does it is not required. If you do not have installed iTunes it is not installed and you start up your computer safely with no problems, thats why you do NOT need iTunes Helper to start up!
NO, THAT's NOT THE RIGHT LINK. WHEN I GO THERE I SUBSCRIBE, AND THEN I GET NOTHING. I'VE CLICKED ON THE LINK AND SUBSCRIBED AT LEAST FIVE TIMES. THAT LINK DOES NOT LEAD TO THE FOLDER.
can u give me the linky plz ill subscribe if u do!
