Who in the hell inserts disks into the front of a laptop only mac laptop users, because mac sucks, and thats not the down side to the lap desk its a down side to the laptop just like every other feature it has.

How quiet is the fan. Out of five stars how much would you give?

On the fan alone, 5, because it's really quiet and I like that it has an on/off switch (my other lapdesks are on when plugged in). On the entire unit, 4 stars, because there should be a built in USB port and, although it's not heavy, it's not as light as I think it should (and could) be.

I just got this thing in the mail. I have a question, I notice that the sound is "muddled" and sounds really bad compared to the crappy yet clear sound of the antec lansings my laptops came with.

Are these logitech speakers supposed to sound "muddier?"

Ya, it's an amazing product. One of the best announced during 2010 CES. Bestbuy had it for $79.99 last week when i got it and now they are selling it for $89.99
