I've heard that comment a lot - that the Scorpions 'out perform' the Dunlops, but never any detail on how exactly. Do they not wear down as quickly? How much more life do you estimate getting out of them? Do the corner better, how do they perform better on different types of road, etc.? Thanks
The front Dunlop gives a head shake over about 80mph. The Scorpions are stable to top speed. I got only about 5k on my rear Dunlop, but had both changed to the Scorpions at that point. From there I was getting about 7k per rear, about 14k front. My last set has been 11k rear and 18k front, but I really procrastinated with changing the tires. I normally switch them out early. You might like the Pirelli Diablo Strada; they are dual compound and last longer.

One of the first things I did was switched the tires. I use Pirelli Scorpion Sync's now. Night and day difference!
