  • I'm a gwailouh and never knew any name for these other than the chinese name or custard tart. I've never been to HK though, mabye some day I'll get a chance to try them there.

  • Great video! This is the type of egg tart I like too, with the flaky as opposed to crumbly crust. Luckily I don't have to fly to Hong Kong for this, but I don't mind visiting again.

  • Apparently these were made in Portugal First, the Chinese copied the Portuguese, this is what my CHINESE mum said who was born in Hong Kong before anyone wants to call me a douche! Ive tried the Portuguese version of this and IMO the Chinese is better since the Portuguese version is waaaaaaay to sweet
