Wow. This is the only smart thing I've ever seen Hannity do. I've experienced this first hand. Luckily I didn't kill/hurt anyone but in retrospect I was definitely losing control of my actions and was deprived of the ability to introspect that would have made me realize this. Luckily someone who I trusted called me out on it in no uncertain terms and I was finally able to see what it was doing to me. I never thought I'd say this, but thank you Hannity.
Holy fuck.. So I got a story for all the youtubers so I'm 17 and when I was 16 I decided to give antidepressants a try and all it did was make me blank, completely emotionless and it had the same side effect on all 3 different antidepressants I had been prescribed too. And during that time I got even more depressed I felt like killing then killing myself a feeling that was completely crazy I felt like things had no consequence like I could get away with anything. Those pills made my social life

@ThaRussian i do believe that these drugs are over-pushed and that counseling should be the first resort, and drugs the last, but having two very close people with manic depressive disorder, and depression in myself, the drugs have done wonders. It's a fine line, but from personal experience I cannot disregard that these drugs can help people

If airplanes had the failure rate of antidepressants, no one would fly. A psychiatrist not quoted in this segment said there's is a 2% incidence of psychotic episodes as a side effect of taking antidepressants. A reported 19 million people over 18 yrs are taking antidepressants. That is 380,000 extra psychotic episodes. I've had two adult friends put on these psych drugs and tried to kill themselves within a few weeks. They were never suicidal before. Just say NO to drugs.

Then I went blind from the drugs, and the Employee Assistance "Therapist" told me, "Can't you see it was necessary to drug you that way?" There is corruption among all of the medical "professionals"
Then on top of that the sleep disorder specialist who charges thousands of dollars tried to tell me I didn't have a sleep disorder even though I don't sleep for days at a time due to drugs because nothing showed up on "his equipment". Then he tried to get me to take a "daytime sleepiness" sleep disorder test, costing thousands of dollars. These doctors are all corrupt and are wasting insurance dollars and refusing to recognize the effects of the drugs.

I tried taking Lexapro for a few days and I would go into uncontrollable red faced laughing and crying fits at the drop of a hat. I felt like I should kill myself immediately.
I heard somewhere that the real cause of depression was negative thinking related stress throwing off deep sleep cycles that rest certain parts of the brain.

Thank you for posting this. I am glad people are really starting to seriously question these drugs, there are very real problems with them, I can attest from personal experience that they can make you extremely agitated and in some people psychotically depreessed.
I am not expert on antidepressants. But, I didn't know it wasn't common knowledge that within the first few weeks of starting such drugs MANY users experience and even deeper depression. Secondly, how many teenagers get depressed? All of them... I don't think this can be blamed on a drug when doctors aren't testing people for actual chemical imbalances. Obviously, if there is NO medical need for a drug, that drug will either be null or have adverse affects.
I've all too often heard the argument, "if I don't send my child to a psychiatrist, and put them on anti-depressants, how will my child get better?". This statement is almost as absurd as "if I don't send my child to a child molester, and that molester doesn't get them hooked on cocaine, how will my child ever get better?". Psychiatry = No Cure & No Science.
The whole DSM committee needs to take a step back and decide whether these illnesses they make up on the spot are really fake. They have no right to vote the way they do. Why is a child that does not like math given a pill for "mathematics disorder?" A shy person is given "Social Anxiety Disorder." Come on, now. Don't you love how the drug companies call it "discontinuation syndrome" instead of "withdrawal." This way they are not seen as poisons with addictive attributes. Some psychiatrists actually tell their patients that what they call withdrawal is actually the symptoms of the problem coming back. So, they put them back on drugs.
These poisons are addictive. As the video says, "Once they start, they are almost impossible to stop." The school shooters are seen as crazy people, however, the pills cause them to snap. My psychiatrist tried to get me to stop reading online postings, claiming that it was my "obsessive compulsive disorder" that was causing my searching. You know what I was researching? SSRI withdrawal! He claims there is no such thing. I was suffering and needed to learn from others that had suffered. Fu*k him! He tried to stop me from learning. Drug dealer! Bully! I'm finally poison-free for about a month, still dealing with withdrawal.

I know you are being sarcastic but there are WAY more than a few dozen deaths caused by these drugs. At a minimum the risk of suicide is doubled, also homicide is caused by the drugs. There are more adverse events (hundreds of thousands) reported for Prozac than any other drug in history and it is thought to be evidence of only about 10% of actual cases of adverse events.

The problem isn't the drugs. The problem is people who shouldn't be having kids having kids, and people who have kids paying strangers to raise them instead of doing it themselves. I think it is funny that adults who cannot exercise self-control and self-discipline themselves (by using birth control or simply abstaining from sex all together) expect the product of this lack of self-control to have good self-control. Kids learn by example, folks.
Filemon is right. Dad can also be a culprit. But if one parent must quit work to spend more timie and TLC with a troubled kid, it would normally be the one earning less income. That's more often the woman.

You obviously have a logic problem. Drugs aren't prescribed just for fun, they're prescribed to correct a problem, real or perceived. Thus, the problem existed before the drugs, which is exactly my point. If you can't raise your kid to have high self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-control, then you shouldn't be having kids. If my kid gets shot by some kid wigging out, I don't blame that kid or the drug...I blame that kid's parents, because they're the ones with the responsibility.

It's disturbing that it is prescribed so quickly to youngsters. SSRI can cause or increase aggression and suicidality, esp. among young ones. The medical companies even admit that. Why don't doctors take better care and put them under watch. I took an SSRI myself and it helped me, so I don't condemn the meds by any means. But I wish people would be more careful.
I smoked pot for my depression and it helped me. It also never left me with an urge to shoot someone. Far from it. Cannabis has eased my depression and soothed my rage all during my early 20s. Problem is, Big Pharma can not patent cannabis and so conspire with the government to ensure that what can not be patented becomes illegal, and then immoral.
Thus ensuring civic minded people have nothing but big pharma to choose from without stigma

I think it's awful that people get sick and die from street drugs. That is why, at least in California, where voters have decided it is not a crime to use natural alternatives to Pharmies, it is much safer. You don't go to a shady dealer. You can walk into a dispensary. A well lit, cozy safe place with security,CCTV and staffed by volunteers. They buy from patients who grow and sell to other patients.
If you don't like smoking it for whatever reason, you can eat and drink it from a huge selection of medibles cooked up by hippie moms and dads. You get the effects with no damage to your lungs and no need for paraphernalia. The business is monitored and taxed by the government. Nobody buys *cut* products. The state even gets their cut via sales tax.. It is all very safe and legitimate here. I love California!

Holy fuck.. So I got a story for all the youtubers so I'm 17 and when I was 16 I decided to give antidepressants a try and all it did was make me blank, completely emotionless and it had the same side effect on all 3 different antidepressants I had been prescribed too. And during that time I got even more depressed I felt like killing then killing myself a feeling that was completely crazy I felt like things had no consequence like I could get away with anything. Those pills made my social life

If airplanes had the failure rate of antidepressants, no one would fly. A psychiatrist not quoted in this segment said there's is a 2% incidence of psychotic episodes as a side effect of taking antidepressants. A reported 19 million people over 18 yrs are taking antidepressants. That is 380,000 extra psychotic episodes. I've had two adult friends put on these psych drugs and tried to kill themselves within a few weeks. They were never suicidal before. Just say NO to drugs.

Prior to taking these he was a straight A student, excellent basketball player and had the confidence level that would be classified as cocky. The pediatrician gave me a book promoting antidepressants to me when I was a teenager, later my gynecologist pressured me to keep taking them for life, my therapist was required to report on me to go to school, and my professors pressured me to keep taking the drugs. Then I went blind from the drugs, and the Employee Assistance "Therapist" told me, "Can't you see it was necessary to drug you that way?" There is corruption among all of the medical "professionals"

However, I'm wondering how many parents pulled their child's antidepressants because they got scared, and how much worse the child felt afterwards.

Seretonin drugs are chemicals that change the way the brain works. Unfortunately they are not mood enhancers and mostly don't work. Largely they are a scam, a quick fix for what is usually a temporary psch disorder.
Trying to get off them is a nightmare....
Horrible physical symptoms include brain buzz, eye 'shock', anxiety and on and on. So they are VERY hard to get off.
These chemicals should be used as a last resort
They will looked at with the same distain as lobotomy and electro shock.

I tried taking Lexapro for a few days and I would go into uncontrollable red faced laughing and crying fits at the drop of a hat. I felt like I should kill myself immediately.
I heard somewhere that the real cause of depression was negative thinking related stress throwing off deep sleep cycles that rest certain parts of the brain.
I found that as I did more meaningful activities with people I love etc.. I didn't have time to think as negatively, and over a long period of time I feel much betr

I am not expert on antidepressants. But, I didn't know it wasn't common knowledge that within the first few weeks of starting such drugs MANY users experience and even deeper depression. Secondly, how many teenagers get depressed? All of them... I don't think this can be blamed on a drug when doctors aren't testing people for actual chemical imbalances. Obviously, if there is NO medical need for a drug, that drug will either be null or have adverse affects.

I know you are being sarcastic but there are WAY more than a few dozen deaths caused by these drugs. At a minimum the risk of suicide is doubled, also homicide is caused by the drugs. There are more adverse events (hundreds of thousands) reported for Prozac than any other drug in history and it is thought to be evidence of only about 10% of actual cases of adverse events.

On top of that if they can get us locked up in prison or a psych ward or scared, we'll all be quiet and easily controlled, too drugged to notice what is going on, or too scared to do anything about it. Not to mention a warm body in a psych ward brings in at least $4000 per day.

The question is not "Will anti-depressants cause a suicide or homicides? But when?" It is also not true that the risks are only in children and young adults. The risks are for anyone and everyone, male and female, black and white, and so on. Psychiatry is a scam, which is extremely hard to prove because FDA members sit on the boards of drug companies... a conflict of interest.

Although in the 1950s and 60s I attended ten schools before college--and many of those had similarly transient populations--I never heard of, not read of, one such event as these in all those years.
The evidence seems clear that psychiatric drugs precipitate the actual psychotic episodes that result in violence.

When I mentioned this to one modern mom with a problem kid, she said that their expenses dictated that both parents must work. "We'd never have our big-screen TV, our Infiniti or the new waterfall by the pool if I didn't work."

The problem isn't the drugs. The problem is people who shouldn't be having kids having kids, and people who have kids paying strangers to raise them instead of doing it themselves. I think it is funny that adults who cannot exercise self-control and self-discipline themselves (by using birth control or simply abstaining from sex all together) expect the product of this lack of self-control to have good self-control. Kids learn by example, folks.

You obviously have a listening problem - these kids just "flipped out" and never had this behavior before the drug or since withdrawing.
That isn't a coincidence and has nothing to do with how these kids are raised.

Filemon is right. Dad can also be a culprit. But if one parent must quit work to spend more timie and TLC with a troubled kid, it would normally be the one earning less income. That's more often the woman.
But both parents are to blame for a lifestyle that "needs" two incomes to get a new SUV, while the kid gets inadequate attention.

You obviously have a logic problem. Drugs aren't prescribed just for fun, they're prescribed to correct a problem, real or perceived. Thus, the problem existed before the drugs, which is exactly my point. If you can't raise your kid to have high self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-control, then you shouldn't be having kids. If my kid gets shot by some kid wigging out, I don't blame that kid or the drug...I blame that kid's parents, because they're the ones with the responsibility.

Very logical, because all you did was rephrase what I said. Kids get the drugs because they're depressed. They're depressed because their parents paid strangers to raise them and didn't teach them self-confidence and self-esteem. I'll say it again for everyone who still doesn't get it: if you can't raise your kids to have high self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-control, then you shouldn't be having kids.

EVERY person I know has been through awkward and even depressing times as a teenager, it is a part of life and growing up NOT A DISEASE. One has to change what's going on in their life or their understanding of how to handle people and situation, not their brain chemicals, in order to resolve it.

People should never take these drugs. They only make people worse. Perhaps some parents do a bad job but others have been told that their kid can't do well in school and needs drugs. The Omaha shooter was treated for mythical ADHD which led to a lifetime of drug use. Ritalin causes depression, so do SSRIs. Wake up.

If your kids are depressed, put them to work in the yard, or cutting firewood, or something where they can stand back when it's done and have a feeling of having accomplished something. Get your kids off the drugs, the X-boxs, the GameBoys, and get them back to living their lives!!!!!

It's disturbing that it is prescribed so quickly to youngsters. SSRI can cause or increase aggression and suicidality, esp. among young ones. The medical companies even admit that. Why don't doctors take better care and put them under watch. I took an SSRI myself and it helped me, so I don't condemn the meds by any means. But I wish people would be more careful.

I smoked pot for my depression and it helped me. It also never left me with an urge to shoot someone. Far from it. Cannabis has eased my depression and soothed my rage all during my early 20s. Problem is, Big Pharma can not patent cannabis and so conspire with the government to ensure that what can not be patented becomes illegal, and then immoral.
Thus ensuring civic minded people have nothing but big pharma to choose from without stigma

unless like me, you live in a state where it is not only decriminalized, but you can get a prescription card for medical use from your GP and walk into a dispensary in safety to get a natural alternative to lab chems. There is even sales tax on it here.

Hi Jane , nice to meet you again! I believe pot can do good in some cases. But you have to take care. Some people here died from plumb poisoning. The dealers had used it to cheat on the weight. I think it's awful that people get sick and die from street drugs. That is why, at least in California, where voters have decided it is not a crime to use natural alternatives to Pharmies, it is much safer. You don't go to a shady dealer. You can walk into a dispensary. A well lit, cozy safe place with security,CCTV and staffed by volunteers. They buy from patients who grow and sell to other patients.

If you don't like smoking it for whatever reason, you can eat and drink it from a huge selection of medibles cooked up by hippie moms and dads. You get the effects with no damage to your lungs and no need for paraphernalia. The business is monitored and taxed by the government. Nobody buys *cut* products. The state even gets their cut via sales tax.. It is all very safe and legitimate here. I love California!

Oh, thanks, I tried some of these variations but they have done me no good. I suppose they enhance your mood and if you are afraid and stuff, they also enhance that. So you shouldn't try it if you are afraid of it... but it is way safer in California than elsewhere. The Netherlands are the same.

Thank you for this video and for the report. Let this be the end of child and teen drugging please. Let's allow kids to be kids and teens to go through puberty and grow up. Puberty is all about moods swings, transient angst, odd social behaviors. Parents and doctors have forgotten their own puberty. Puberty is not a mental illness. Leave your biochemistry alone and and let your kids finish natural development and let them make informed decisions as adults.
