I'm trying to learn this song too and man, your version is the best I've heard. Now I've got my work cut out for me. Do you sing and play professionally? I really enjoy your music.
Great job. I don't know but your guitar playing looks good to me. The little slide guitar riffs you play up the next are similar/same as Nash plays. Did you pick it out yourself or is there a tabe somewhere. I would like to learn that bit myself.
thank you for your kind comment... the guitar playing is not mine, its another guys video on youtube. He had recorded the gutar, lead and first harmony... I took the video and added the 3rd harmony.
When I try your suggestion of narrating for harmony in WMM, the harmony is always lagging a split second after the main singing - did you have that problem? Thanks.
Hiya, thats right, i joined in on the chorus to the end with the 3rd harmony.
"and know they love you" is still in 3 parts but one voice is an octive higher. Thats becuse the origonal harmony was wrong so had to fix - thats why it sounds like 4 different parts.
exactly its a pain... First you narrate, then export as a video, then re-import and narrate again. Then export (this time you have two voices saved) then import a final time, narrate and export the finished piece.
Its a shame that WMV has only one audio layer :-(
I've got AVID now which i use for video editing and I can add as many audio tracks as I like. much better
Really cool job !Isn't it amazing, guys, how you can be 'singing together' thanks to Windows Movie Maker ?!
Most of all, what really touches my heart and soul is to 'hear ' the same passionate feeling that you both share while singing this old, but forever wonderful, unforgettable song !
International Jamming... WoW!! What a cool thought. Get one person to play guitar and then add the rest of the instruments and layer the vocals. It could be the best band in the world... and all through youtube. Wow!
Thanks!!! I used Thorney2's video (he already recorded the 2nd harmony), downloaded the clip, imported into Windows Movie maker, then recorded my audio over the top. It took about 10 mins in total (thats including export and re-posting on youtube.
nice to hear someone get a harmony right these days

Oh god yes and its a royal pain lol. Its a case of tying to sync it back up which can take a bit of time to do. It lags about a second behind.
Thank you for your kind comments :D

This is very good. Did you just not sing along for the first verse? Also, is there a fourth harmony? Because I can't hear it on any recording.

I gotcha. I asked because I wasn't sure if it was four part because it's a CSNY song and didn't know if Neil had a part.

Wow fabulous! I've just discovered how to add harmonies using movie maker and this cover is an inspiration. It is so lovely!

how DO you add more than one harmony with WMM? do you have to narrate once, save it, then open it again and narrate once more?
