    SHUT UP YA BITCH

  • I wonder what an oarfish tastes like

  • wowwwww veryyy cool

  • thats where my penis went

  • omg

  • awww poor fishy D:

  • Asians call those baby dragons.don't be suprise if y'all hear about a bigger one lol

  • People you DO realize that this has NOTHING to do with pokemon right?

  • lol the picture in the beginning

  • @Konphetty IKR exactly.

  • Sorry, but although this is a fish, this scares me more than sharks.

  • Hopefully theres still more it somewhere I really dont want rare creatures to dissapear

  • @Konphetty no one knows how many there are. they could be extremely common for all w, know; but because of the sheer depth they live at theres little information about them.

  • @crazitaco Why cant humans go to the deepest part of the ocean but we can go to space?

  • @Konphetty because of the pressure u will rip apart if u go too deep in the ocean some animals are just designed for it and scientist are now making machines that can reach the ocean floors

  • @switch111able Thats interesting. Thanks!

  • "It looks like a Chinese dragon" LOL

  • It makes me sad that he has to live his last moments like that. At the same time I'm glad I got to see this, never imagined them to be so beautiful.

  • Dis he just say fishes at 1:13?

  • its one of dim damn dare poke e mans!!!!!!!

  • OK OK IL BE THE ONE TO SAY IT

we have all seeen enough hentai to know where this is going

  • FAIL EVOLVE FROM MAGICARP TO GYARADOS

  • they should make a Pokemon named swag all it would say is swag

  • IT LOOKS LIKE A CHINESE DRAGON!

  • pokemon...YOURE DOING IT WRONG!

  • FUCK it's always the eyes that creep me out...

  • pokemon is stupid

  • OMG I FORGET MY POKEDEX!!

  • I thought that the deeper you go into the ocean the smaller the fish are because of the amount of food? Why are giant squids and the oar fish so big?

  • @yeeleng1000 Size is a mystery of nature to be honest. For some like the whale shark its to gather more food, and in animals like the elephant it can be for protection or easy consumption of food

  • looks like an overgrown fish... chinese dragons dont look like tht..

  • poor fishy :/

  • มาถึงวันนี้ เป็นอย่างไรบ้าง ยังอยู่รึเปล่าเอ่ย

  • that fish is kept in the Natural history museum in Los Angeles California. I've seen it.

  • these fish have been around for like 30 million years before pokemon so stfu comparing it

  • @burstbuzzyboy its just for fun so "stfu" and calm down

  • There is still fish on the depths in the ocean that no man have seen yet because they only live that deep.. and they can be twice as big as this oarfish.

  • Amazing frish

  • wrong its the whale shark thats the biggest

  • damnit fking god dangit i wanna know how it tastes what if we can fking clone that damn fish and eat the meat!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MarkLovesQuyenAlways They are eaten but their meat is very gelatinous so it's not a nice texture unless you're a gelatine fan.

  • THIS IS A FISH, not a snake -.-

  • HAIKU

    I hatch! Crawl! And swim!

Oh how I love my sweet life,

    Please protect my home.

    —A Green Sea Turtle

  • When in open water they swim vertically... like a row boat oar. They have no teeth and no defences so when they swim vertically, predators don't recognise them as fish. Their silver scales make them near invisible in the open ocean. They can stand almost stationary looking only like detritus floating about from a distance and not like a fish at all... I love this creature... truly amazing. They should have let it be, like the elephant they may well ALL go to the same communal site to die.

  • @NMWMN lol you just described a defense it has.

  • @SuperGangstashyt ... it's so understated, I didn't think anyone would appreciate it as such...lol... I love this fish... just incredible stuff.

  • @NMWMN i feel you on that. i like animals in general. so it was nice to see this. and are these going extinct?

  • i wanna swim with that thing.

  • GYARADOS

  • dam Pokemon you scary

  • @snipingkick It's ok your not the only one >.>

  • Where the Fuck is the rest I want more

  • japs so glad gonna make sushi for one village

  • @funkychickeness actually they're not considered edible

  • WATCH OUT FOR THE SHARKS BEHIND YOU !

  • no!! my gyarados is dying

  • I WANNA RIDE ONE!!!

  • You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have oarfish with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

  • Thats no fish its chuck norris' sperm

  • Cook it and feed the homeless for a year.

  • @psychoKATTY it's not considered edible

  • @Zexion98 *dies on the inside*

  • Pikachu... Use Thunder Wave !!!

  • Are allowed to keep it as pet? Like goldfish?

  • Its not the longest fish in the ocean. A Whale shark is prob the longest.

  • sry is he now dead or did the fish survived.

  • @Criseman100 oarfish cannot survive at this altitute, you see very little black/blueish spots on the body which suggests the fish was dying and on it's way to the surface for that specific reason.

  • @GuitarGasmProduction oh okay..poor fish....thx for the answere :D

  • Que belleza, nuestro mundo tiene cosas indescriptibles como el pez remo, verlo nadando en el agua produce una sensación de relajación, busquen en videos sobre esta maravilla

  • He said fishes... OBVIOUSLY NOT A PROFESSIONAL

  • @shoes48 Fishes is a word...

  • @ForAdam the multiple of fish is just fish, a group of fish, we caught 3 fish to day, fishes is not a grammatically correct word

  • @GuitarGasmProduction but it's so fun to say! ;3

    that and "fishies"

  • You know? Many species shrink over time, (Lobsters, scorpions, sharks, etc).

Safe to assume that hundreds to thousands of years ago, these suckers could have been bigger. And if it's rare for them to be seen, that EASILY could turn into myths of dragons and sea monsters.

  • "Oh its beautiful!"

    "Its dying"

  • i think the sea serpent is real

  • aww FUUUUUUU 240p!!!! jk, this is awesome

  • and they killed it...

  • @surfer605

No, they didn't. It is thought that many deep marine animals, like these fish, typically come to shallower waters when they are dying. Seeing one is a pretty rare occurrence, and a great opportunity to learn about these creatures. You act like this is a video of them diving deep, finding one of these suckers, punching it in the face, and dragging its limp body back to the surface.

  • "Hey! Hey, you! Are you gonna eat that?!

  • "things come to the surface for reason known only to those things that come to the surface" analogy at its best.

  • Why in the fuck would anyone dislike this video? I don't fucking understand it.

  • @AstrumSol There's always some dislikes on every video with a lot of likes. Be thankful there's ONLY 14 dislikes compared to 1003 likes. But who cares?

  • @KoGUltimatum

    You do.

  • imagine seeing this whilst snorkeling. ohhh shitttttttt

  • Is this a fish? Seriously a fish?

That's the wonder of our lovely deep sea world...

  • That's the biggest worm, I've ever seen.

  • I would kill myself if I saw that in the water...Ima catch that pokemon BEYITCH. Plus, someone should put like 40 in lake Loch Ness to fuck with people.

  • couldnt they at least respect the fact it was dying? let it die in peace and then do whatever the f*ck u want

  • Holy fuck I'd be scared to hold that shit

  • @ballsbunny1 umm the whale shark is not a fish my friend it is a whale, which most of us know is a mammal. pick up a national geographic.

  • @affadosman whale shark is a fish. shark is the subject and whale is the adjective describing it. pick up an English textbook AND a national geographic. :)

  • This isn't the longest fish. The longest fish is the whale shark.

  • Yeah, we've only seen them dying so far, just wait untill a heathy one comes out and Hyperbeams the fuck out of us

  • @FoolyCoolyMabase It'll be fine. Just send out ghost types.

  • @FoolyCoolyMabase love u!

  • haku!

  • HOLLY SHIT! I heard the sea dragon in Okami was based on one of these and got curious to why these things have a reputation. I wasn't expecting a goddamn reallife dragon!!O_O

  • Get the Masterball, I need to catch this Dragonair!

  • oar fish could be a lochness monster derhaps i dunno

  • We had an oar fish come into my local bay side in 1999

  • Aw poor fish is dying, fasinating though.

  • I have seen 2 of these in the past year diving at Santa Cruz Island, California. They were babies, but it was still cool. I will be uploading a vid of one sometime this week.

  • Dude, holy fuck. Pardon my French, but.... wow. WOW.

  • MILOTIC IS BASED ON THE OARFISH...

  • @magerboy ye but only the first 150 can be referenced as pop culture.. with the exception of mudkips

  • It really does look like a chinese dragon. Maybe the oarfish originated that myth...

  • y come gente???

  • @feli6452 no po sakowea

  • How do they taste?

  • gorgeous

  • might this be the explanation to sea serpents and the loch ness monster sightings

  • Of cause. Its Chuck Norris who caught it.

  • i thought he said a large big cock !

  • I wonder if they taste good.

  • @kidrhimel I've read reports the meat is rather gelatinous which usually renders it uneatable. Glad there are still many of these in our Oceans. :)

  • FUCK THAT SHIT

  • Long time ago this species ancestors were giant and had teeth

  • Look at all their different colored hats!

  • @HaligonianType1 BILLY DONT FORGET YOUR SANDWICHES!!!

  • @jeffcon123 LMAO Nice catch.

  • @Croc345 LOL.......its funny...

  • Ignorance is sad

  • People are so fucking ignorant... goddamn we suck.

  • haha sad truth is, humans are one major factor why so many nature's wonders extinct/dies

  • sea serpent = oarfish

space serpent = ?? fallen oarfish??

  • i would be so terrified to see that!

  • It's people like these people that destroy nature with their stupidity.

If you see something beautiful in nature, LEAVE IT THERE and count yourself lucky you saw it.

Don't tie a damn rope to it and hoist its head above the water.

Just because it's in an unusual spot doesn't necessarily mean 'it's dying'

  • @phoenixwildfire, the fish wasn't caught, it was injure/sick, which is about the only reason why a oarfish will rise to the surface. There was nothing they could do, but I understand your concerns.

  • @phoenixwildfire This species cannot survive at surface pressure and is only seen there when it's dead or dying. It's also full-sized, probably very old and dying of natural causes.

If you actually cared about nature, then you'd educate yourself about it, and concern yourself with real science instead of PETA emotional appeals. Worry about species and ecosystems that are actually in danger, instead of the "sea kittens".

  • Amazing fish. Thanks for posting.

  • what if the fish take u back with him to the deep sea and show ur dead body to his family?

  • 1:12 dude watch out theres a freaking shark behind you!

  • wtf

  • These retards killed it, Instead of admiring it dying help it get back to deep water.

  • Cryptozoology novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach one night see video book trailer

  • 0:09 - That's what she said!

  • well it was bound to die anyway even if they didn't find it..it travelled a little to far from home

  • Still has some pretty good kick to him..... too bad he/she died.

  • hmmmm so long of loch ness creature...it might be some huge fish as this one

  • lol he has it in a headlock.

  • Id soooo ride one of those in another life :DDD

  • oarfish can only be found in two places in the world, the northern and southern hemisphere!

  • i wanna give that fish a BIG HUG

and then trap it in a poke ball and make it fight >:)

  • oh my fucking good. TELL THE METRES NOT FEET!

  • @MoxieChan Can't you just do the math? Also, if you type in google, say... "Meters in *number* feet" the answer comes up as a suggestion.

  • Long fish is long.

  • ...it died :( NOW I PISSED >:O

  • Coming up on 1m views! Glad so many people found this interesting.

'Discovery Networks' youtube channel recently posted a fantastic video of an Oar Fish swimming in the (pre BP disaster) Guld of Mexico. Head over to see this fish in all its glory. The video is called: "Giant 'Sea Serpent' Caught on Camera"

*Its not possible to post URL links in comments.

  • @ktkraft Thanks for the vid. And just so you know the discovery video you suggested is the Top video in Youtube "suggesitons" on the right side. By the way, if you want to post a youtube video link just post something like the following, people will know what to do :-)

    youtube com / watch ?v= lvRqqwBoyx8

  • @bigmahfood

english is my 5th choice of language

and beside this is not grammar lesson

  • he isnt killing it. they ONLY come to shallow water when they are dying.

  • oh no! Bring it to the pokemon center, quick! XD

  • Oarfish are deep sea fish, and usually only surface to die. No point in letting it go, it's just going to wash up dead anyway.

  • are there any of these left?

  • i want to eat it

  • Everyone who keeps saying to let it go are retarded. This fish only comes to the surface or "beaches" itself when it is already dying. The reason they are capturing it is to study it and find out more about it. Bunch of idiots.

  • One washed up in malaise

  • woah beautifulist fish ive ever seen, LET IT GO!!!
