  • OMG! that was so sad... I feel something in my throat... This is on of the best USA TV. Programs... I was a child when this was on tv... I really miss this program... Mexico do not pass programs like this any more...

  • made me cry, i would hate it if i had to do that to my own dog

  • Technically Pup must be death before Ingrid.

  • haven't watched this in years--- but it still makes me cry.

  • god it would kill me to have to kill my own dog in that cirumcstance... :(

  • I just can't believe people care more about the dog's death than Ingrid's...I mean it's very much like the killer in silence of the lamb ! He doesn't care about girls dying but don't you dare touch his little french poodle !!!

  • omg tears ran down my face onto my shirt.

  • @msshelley74 Yes, I'm too. But I lost my mother 3 months ago, and I was also sitting at her bed when she died. So everything happened all over again. ;o(

  • @erniesigsoundfan im so sorry for your lost

  • This episode makes me so sad! I cried the first time I watched this and I cry every time I see it. Ingrid and Matthew were so in love and they had waited so long to get married. Why did she have to die? The acting is great though!

  • horrible episode in terms of sadness but absolutely wonderful in terms of acting.

  • Brian, Brian. please. I know he's trying hard but the very last thing Matthew needs right now is cake. ;-(

  • WHHHHHHHYYYY!!!!! That was the saddest episode ever! I BALLLLED!

  • All I can think of is how horrible their swedish is. Atleast they almost use the right words, but the pronunciation...?! Awful....

  • That was so sad!!! Ah well, someone has to die I guess..

  • Triste fin, et dire que Matthew en à voulu à son petit frère Brian, je le comprend, mais ce n'était pas sa faute

  • Wow. Just wow. I cried more when Pup died than when Ingrid died.

  • Wow.

  • A dog can be replaced. A human life can't.

Brian's wolf caused this to happen! And its thanks to him that Matthew will never have a family of his own.

  • @gloverboy21 No life is replaceable, whether its someone's beloved dog or a person. And it wasn't the wolf's fault. Accidents happen and he wouldn't have gone after Ingrid if he hadn't been under the rabies' hold.

  • @sweetpeaginnis That's problem! dogs have no sense when to leave wild animals alone. Pup was too stupid and careless not to leave that raccoon alone when a sense able and wise dog would know it doesn't smell right.

  • @gloverboy21 Dogs, like all animals act on instinct. If something catches their interest or curiosity, they're going to pursue it, and if it runs, they're going to chase it - it has nothing to do with being stupid or being able to "smell" something that may be off in an animal (if that were the case, no animal would get sick from contact with another). You must not have much experience with dogs.

  • @gloverboy21 ---I don't think it's that they have no sense, they are just acting on instinct...our shepard killed 2 massive coons this summer that got too close to her year 6 month old puupy....i heard the growls and the bark, and when my husband got out there, there were two coons feet from where the pup could barely reach, both with bites to their necks, and momma standing by....

  • SADDEST EPISODE EVER!!!

  • Brian's wolf is so beautiful

  • well nowadays thank God for rabies shot to protect out beloved animals

  • That last scene was reminiscent of Old Yeller. I was crying so much!

  • I was thinking the same thing the last time I watched this ep. The scene earlier when Matthew wants to go after Pup and Brian is begging him not to made me think of Old Yeller.

  • I read the book when I was about 11 or 12. I cryed for weeks and I hated my grandma, cause she gave it to me.

  • well, my response was just as emotional as the first time i saw this air on TV... crying like a baby.

  • Seriously I cried for Pup, not for Ingrid.

Brian trying to take responsibility, Matthew trying to prevent him from watching and Sully having to kill Pup...

I just can't bear this. This scene is heartwrenching.

  • soo sad poor Matthew...

  • its so emotive episode ;_; so sad...when Sully tries at first comfort him a bit, it was like in his eyes was reminiscing old pain after he lost his first wife Abigail and their child..

  • Poor Matthew. It was so sad to see him fall apart. Chad gave one hell of a performance.

  • This is so sad!

  • i have to agree w/ most of the other ppl's comments; this ending is just unpleasant

  • I cried like a baby when i first saw this. Superb acting from all the cast.

  • Adult or kid....that was pretty much the emotinoal experience from Hell ! Wow that was sad !

  • This was too sad! I wonder why they killed-off Ingrid? And this episode really shows the differences between how adults and kids view traumatic events. Brian was thinking that Matthew would "stop hating him" if Brian killed Pup, not understanding that Matthew was hurting and grieving b/c the love of his life was gone forever. Killing Pup wouldn't have made one bit of difference, b/c it wouldn't have brought Ingrid back. Kids' and adults' perspectives are so different sometimes...

  • @SoSoHot23 That's a great point.

  • ahahahaha

  • The dog was a good actor.

  • Saddest episode ever.

  • Shitty Ending!!!

  • This is the saddest episode ever..

  • Oh Brian. Sit Down somewhere....

  • bryyan is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying!!

"but it's chocolate cake!" : what an idiot!!!!!!!!!

  • Annoying hey, what if you were in Brian shoes, and someone like matthew did that to you, would you say were annoying yourself !!!

  • Tears

  • it's so sad :(

  • Ok I can't forget the fact than Rabies is not that quick (It takes at least 4 weeks after the bite to become sick) and the Episode is 50 minutes so we could forget about the 4 weeks, but man, Pup should had been dead even before Ingrid become symptomatic.

  • It's television!! Come on!

  • That ending is just too sad! And here I was... trying that all DQMW episodes would have a happy ending...

  • yup I think they should put a warning lable on this one...

    ****Warning***

IF YOU WATCH THIS EPISODE YOU ARE IN DANGER OF DEHYDRATION DUE TO MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF CRYING

  • hahaha

  • that last scene wreak me....great acting....

  • LOL god damn i love Dr. Quinn!

  • Thank you so much for sharing your Dr Quinn's with us. I remember this show from my youth. I have cancer and my laptop is my only entertainment. This was such a moving series with wonderful moral values. thank you again. ERA

  • Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you found my uploads! =)

  • this scene broke my heart. :(

  • the last scene was perfectly written and acted out. i cried so hard

  • An unbelievably moving last scene.

  • i like matthew, as i like the rest of the Cooper-Quinn-Sully family.. does anyone disagree:-)

  • it's so sad :( i feel so bad for both matthew and brian (and everyone else of course)

we once had a rabies scare with my dog. i was like ten and she started acting funny and had a little foam at the mouth. we locked her on the porch and just waited. it was one of the hardest times of my life. thankfully it turned out not to be rabies. we don't know what it was. it's 6 years later and we still have her. she's still my best friend.

  • this is such a good episode! made me cry...

  • Looks like Kierstin eats well considering the immigrants were once on the verge of starvation!!

  • Haha. Oh dayum, that's messed up.

  • I was so angry when they killed Ingrid. Matthew and Ingrid were such a beautiful young love story. I cried buckets in the last part then, and now. Great scene for all the male cast here. Joe Lando takes the fatherly control here, and the boys hold eachother (just loads of sobs) TV hasn't been made like this in a long time.

  • oh wow, that's really insensitive and fucked up

  • theres a time and a place m8

  • I was fine until Brian was going to shoot Pup, then I cried loads! Poor kid!

  • Good episod, god bless you for your share

  • God, I actually cried in front of this...
