you don't record in stereo. You mix in stereo. And the only reason they mixed their albums in mono was that it was all technology would allow at the time.
i think you missundertood me lol. mono is the best way to listen to the beatles through headphones on an iPod or mp3 player. stereo isthe best way to listen to the beatles on loud speakers lije at a party or on a boombox. if you listen to stereo beatles on head phones some of the songs like sgt pepper and i saw her standing there sound like shit because you only hear the vocals through one side. i have both the 2009 mono remasters and the stereo remasters so im all set either way lol.
Some people like it and some don't. You are the latter and that's fine. I don't have a set in stone preference. I like some songs in stereo and some in mono.
(Try listening to "Taxman" and "Paperback Writer" on the way home when your left or right earphone goes dodgy suddenly...after HEARING it without bass and vocals ONCE, the seperation becomes SOOO goddamn apparent after that it just ruins it and even without wanting to you listen for the seperation FIRST before the music...)
great music isnt about recording its about writting it bach beethoven didnt even have mono and still there music is great so your point is not a point at all
I get that, but why do they mention it during the show like a million times. They even had the creator of Cirque, sitting with them. I mean it's great and all, but Cirque du soleil must have sponsored the show because they made a big deal out of it,
Before he died, George got to be good friends with someone from Cirque, and they came up with a plan to do a Cirque show with Beatles music. George talked Paul, Ringo, and Yoko into it, George Martin and his son remixed music for it, and it finally got staged after Harrison died. On the one-year anniversary of the show launch, Paul and Ringo did this interview. If there was no Cirque show, this interview would not have happened.
Oh really? I didn't fucking know that, I thought it was a Cirque du Soleil show about hamburgers. Thanks for letting me know. You're a fucking retard.
Is that guy serious? "peel back the layers of dust" what dust?! People have never stopped loving the Beatles. Every generation since (the people of the generation with good taste in music anyway) has taken The Beatles music into their hearts and souls. It's a neverending phenomenon. My kids (once I have them. I'm only 18 after all) generation is going to be listening to The Beatles, my grandkids generation, my great grandkids generation and so on. The Beatles' music will never die <3
Fine, is *Giles* serious? It's all well and good that he worked on the Love soundtrack, but that doesn't change my sentiments on the "peel back the dust" statement.
but NOOO Beatles, I honestly can`t compare a band with them they`re a legend and left all this great music with us, that soon we`ll only have as a memory of them.

Cirque de soleil are great though - well worth the effort of travelling to the US - tranferring from LA and then onto to Vegas to see them (even travelling via American Airways) from the UK (approx. 20 hours in total). Please can you/we start lobbying to get Larry King retired though? Does anyone actually enjoy/like him, or his shirts and tie combinations (and I'm a King)?
Unfortuately I'm not paid to promote AA - I was just unlucky enough to have to been delayed a long long time for their flight - to Chicago. All you Yoko-bashers should just try to read some real information. Read about Brian Epstein's death ... if anything this caused a lot of shift amongst them (I mean Paul apparently could be a control freak) and there was already difficulties. John liked Yoko around in the studio so why not blame John for the breakup if you believe the presence of Yoko was the cause? He died with recordings of Yoko's "Walking on Thin Ice" which was his last guitar work. This 1981 song of her's is cool IMHO.
Geez ... cutting of four important guests due to pressure of modern TV's all-so-important commercials. The "revolution" failed (maybe it will work some day and 'change the world' and 'your head' too). Too much precious time atken up mentioning Paris Hilton's interview. WHat kind of a silly modern world is it that people who haven't done anything are the one's interviewed!!!
The business/political power structure has stamped on the 60's "revolution" and we're left with this rubbish.
true. All thats left are hollow entities and bullshit hype. The 60's itself has become commodified and all the ideas have been assimilated into the system and regurgitated back out in a non threatening commercialised form, ready to be sold to you. Theres a structuralist term that somes up this idea but i can't quite remember it at the mo. The same thing happened with punk in the late 70s.
I've never been one for dance numbers, but seeing Beatles music mixed with roller blading, acrobats, and tumblers seems superflous and even cheesy on many levels. It's too bad that today's humans have the attention span of a retarded amoeba. This music needs no visual aids or circus pageantry to stand on it's own. As a species, we seemingly become dumber by the minute. Do people still just sit down and simply listen to music anymore?
I was totally just going to say something along those lines! Me and one of my best friends are only 16 and we're in love with the Beatles and talk about them all the time.
It seems Larry has no idea who these guys are. He probably can't even tell us one Beatles song title without a cue card. The guy has no personality. How did he get this job anyway? Was he a tv weather man 40 years ago?
Was this interview about Larry King or the Beatles? It was just good to see Paul and Ringo...and hear some of the songs. Timeless..throwing stones is just useless..a waste of energy. Smile about the music..yeah...
Nonetheless, the both of them look fantastic for their age, considering Paul is 65 and Ringo is 67. Larry King was 73 and he looks much older than either of them.
Sounds odd but they're both still so cute. Or , i just get these real good vibes from them[obviosuly, because they're beatles] maybe it's some type of innocent thing. You can tell paul is nervous with the way he plays with his hands.
John was actually very attractive! Paul McCartney was as well :) He's actually still attractive, really. I don't care he's like 71

Ringo is older than Paul isn't he? But doesn't seem...

Ringo was the oldest of the Beatles, George the youngest.
baylorbearliz 3 years ago 3
Yes... I know that! But Ringo seems to be younger than Paul in this video! =)
Danikas 3 years ago 6
Ringo is the oldest, then John, Paul and finally George.

Probably because Ringo did less drugs.

I think Paul's aging process started to be notorious from the moment Linda past away.

And I'm sure the last couple of years with Heather hasn't help any either...

You can tell paul is nervous with the way he plays with his hands.

hahhaha yeah they are.. wish ringo would take the shades off, seems like he's been wearing them for thirty years.
man i want to see that show on lsd... that would be such a trip. it'd be badass sober too though.

Oh but they are! I think they'll be attractive as long as they've got a pulse. And actually... maybe even after its stopped haha!

Larry King has a weird shaped head. He should banned from TV and put in a home.

It makes me sad not to see John or George there.
NHL03692 4 years ago 8
yeah, and its even worse because Larry King is there!
