When the outfit might be sold, er yer kids might have to change schools, er the cow herd might be sold off, er yer a haulin' water putting in long hard hours, er when yer wife is sittin' under the wheel of a pickup tuck in "granny" gear, while you stand in the back dropping flakes of hay fer the drought stricken cows, knowing your life is changing as fast as the falling hay ... hell Rain is a savior! Thank you. Thank You. I grew up around and in ranching and this is hands down my favorite Ian Tyson song. I reminds me of past relationships, grama grass as it greens up and many many summers and falls riding horses, fixing fences,branding cavles and gathering in October on my uncle's ranch. Again, thank you.

What I love probably above else about you tube , is that we share our favorite bands, singers,musical tastes instrumentals and top line artists with one another, here is a perfect example,I have never heard of Ian Tyson!! I have now though, and he is quite different,that beat, & approach to that song was quite unique, did Ilike it Yes of course! so great to hear a new voice, I am here for new experiences, I just had one. thank you surfcottage.like number 17. Someday Soon and many ,many more... he is the Ian of Ian and Sylvia ,a folk duo very popular in the 60's.....
