Lebanese Christians, including the Maronites, are right in preparing events such as this and getting organized outside Lebanon. In a few generations their presence will be mostly outside Lebanon. This sounds sad but it merely reflects the demographic reality in Lebanon, as well as the rest of the Middle East. They missed more than one chance to have their own country, as their political leaders were more interested in their own feudal status than in the survival of their community. Shame.
