  • is this older tha irish dance

  • @jon76398:

No its not - American and English Tap dancing came from Irish dancing, Juba (African), Flamenco (Spanish), and clog dancing (English) and travelled all over the world, especially to America.

This video is a combination of almost all those styles.

  • Yeah Yeah!

  • This is really interesting. The black Juba dates all the way back to africa, having been brought over to America by slaves. I think it's great how long this dance has been around. I wish I could see the show.

  • in puerto rico we have a rhythm and dance called the Yuba , directly associated with afro french culture within our bomba tradition ( afro puerto rican drum tradition)

  • Wish I could see the show~

  • hey i watched the whole show at the norwich playhouse today!!! amazing!!! well worth watcing! x

  • loving the toe tapping rythm. I worked on some of the initial animation last year for this project and once again Junior shines as Master Juba.

Hope the Hackney performance goes well1!

    Alex

  • Looks good, don't think I'd be able to keep up!
