I know some of this power. I know the healing in my heart and soul because of what Jesus done. I know the holy word of God, from the moment I opened it. The Word spoke to me and set me free. Yes, I love the Lord with all my hear and soul and my neighbor as my self!
Christianity is just a religion, just a name..the supposed 'white man's God". People despise the Christians, but can we despise their God if we've never known Him?
Faith and love for the true and living God transcends all tongues and creed. I'm Chinese, and God is real to me. We must never force people to see things one way. But if you truly love youself, then please, you owe it to yourself to know for sure, beyond doubt, the truth. If not, you're making a very risky gamble with your life.
the question i have is if you dont believe in God and all you can do is bad talk the ones who do believe in Him...then why in the world would you even do a search for this type of music? unbelievers hate it when you witness to them so why are you trying to witness to the believers? why argue about it..u either believe or you dont believe and no one should ever try to force any beliefs on anyone. all believers the only thing we can do is tell the gospel and leave the ball in their court.
I agree that as believers, the best way to evangelize and to avoid discouragement is to just share the truth and leave the next move up to them. I cannot agree that that's all there is to it. The parable of the seed may imply that, but even though the seeds fall on different ground, each seed is also unique. Likewise, our approach has to be tailored to fit a person's needs.
I don't agree that we can just leave the ball in the court and walk off. There is no accountability and no power. Its defeatist and expectant of rejection, and resentful of unbelief. There is no compassion and there is no understanding. The next move will always be theirs, but how we give them that move says alot about ourselves and our faith, and more importantly, our God.
But you are right that no one should be forced to believe anything. People must believe on their own accord. The value of their salvation is their faith, without which it is impossible to please God. But to approach the truth of God so casually is something i find unacceptable. We can't just say the decision is theirs and wash our hands of it. Unbelievers are not a quota. They are precious souls and not filth that we are forced to reach out to.
And unbelievers do not hate to be witnessed to. They hate to be preached to and bashed on the head by Bibles. They despise self-righteousness and believers' holier than thou attitude. Evangelism is about spreading the word of God, not about filling up the pews with newcomers. I backslid once, so i know the perspectives of both unbelievers and believers. I've seen both sides and i've made my choice.
Man can argue about doctrines, theories, speculation and it won't make God anymore real to you unless you ask Him. You can't wait for yourself to believe before you ask if He's real. You owe it yourself to find out first. Its no scare tactic to say that it would be unfair if it all turns out to be real. Seeing my friend's mother convinced me, her God is something else. She was in PAIN...but there was such a peace in the room, in her eyes. Perhaps she knew God was calling her home. And lucky her!
she lifted our spirits with her love for this God of hers. When she was taken away, oh there was great sadness, but she was such a beautiful soul, her faith in God has surely placed her in heaven. If you ask me, she got the better part. Rationally speaking, if there IS a heaven, and if it only requires a belief in God, i say, we owe it to ourselves to check it out. If you wanna "check it out", challenge God, if He is really God, if there IS a God, we owe it to ourselves to find out for sure.
God is love. I do know people who pray for healoing, and were taken away from us. My friends's mother died of cancer, and she was a fervent and strong believer in Christ. Our church believes in the healing power of Christ. The truth is, we can't give a satisfactory answer to why this happens. The ways of God are higher than ours. But what struck me is that while she was in pain, her spirit was so full of joy and peace, she was never bitter, and even in the hospital bed...
Those bad things happen because we live in a fallen world where the devil is the prince of the power of the air, but We can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens Us.
A person can know the Bible is God's Word by first examining the claims of Scripture, considering the evidence for those claims, and then personally accepting the challenge of Scripture to "taste and see" if these things be true. The psalmist gave the following challenge.

@valu777 Weed is about as addicting as caffeine, and it's medical, for the chronich excruciating pain i suffer from every day, all day. Explain why god did that.
@valu777 It's called Chronich Pain Syndrome. That's what they call it atleast when they can't find an explanation, basically every signal my brain sends is a pain signal, causing me to have unbearable pain all day every day. Morphine and Oxycodone barely put a dent in it, weed makes it alittle better. I am 17 years old, now why would a caring and kind God do this for no reason? Ruin my life before it's even started? :)
@valu777 Yea, see, that's exactly what I mean. Alot of fancy talk and bible quotes but no actual explanation. And I very sincerely doubt prayer is gonna help my situation, it's easy to believe that a supposed God is kind and sweet when you don't have what I have. Don't get me wrong, I think relegion is great. It teaches good morals and values, but it's never done my any good. Now, what exactly can a christian do for me?
@valu777 I sincerely appreciate you're concern for my situation, you are very kind. But ofcourse all those recoveries have a scientific explanation, people get better, that's what immume systems are for. But I cannot convert, I prefer rational explanations over blind faith. (no offence intended ofcourse). And you hear about all those people who claim to have been healed by christ, but never about all the people who pray and pray and pray, but still die of a horrible desease.
@valu777 Also I would like the add, even if God would heal me of my condition, why did I get it in the first place? Why put me through this much suffering for all these years?
weed the reason for the drastic event of the cross is to save us from a drastic world
man gave away his arthority and death reined through sin
the sins of the fathers are passed down to the 3-4th generation --- these are called generational curses Jesus became a curse for us by hanging on a tree the cross mankind is lost and accursed and fallen ,mankind is condemned and dead to God the Father
the good news is that we can be re connected to God and be given a second chance at life
@valu777 So basically, god punishes the innocent for something they did not do? That doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. That's definitely not a god i'd pray to.
@valu777 To be honest, this sounds like something to keep people in line. "God has forsaken mankind, but if you do as you're told you will be saved". It really sounds like scare tactics from a long time ago to keep people from rising up against the people in charge.
@valu777 I can't "simply" take the rescue, because I very simply don't believe in a God. And to be fair, it could be scare tactics, it's just as plausible as an omnipotent God. Neither of our theories can be proven or tested, so they have equal merit, let's not claim we are speaking facts because we can't be sure, that kinda makes the whole discussion unfair :)
@smoker Take it just ask him to save you , don't let your mind get in the way , would you like us to pray on line skype with you for the relief of your condition
Your condition sounds pretty bad. You must be in a lot of pain. Enough to try weed. Not enough to try God. And not enough if you still have the energy to come here and pick a fight on theology. Let me just say that while God is flawless, we ourselves often can't argue effectively enough. But all logic dictates that if there IS a God, then i would wanna give myself the chance to get to know Him. If that doesn't apply to you, then so be it. I don't believe you're really in pain, by the way.
