  • Sweet three height accent to tap.

  • Peter Erskine is Master Jazz player . Gentelman and Hi Class American.Artist!!! so him Clearwater Ft J Patitucci Bass John Abencrombi Guitar Cheak this.Gentelman is Art Forms.

  • Excuse me gentlemen, but I do believe Joey Jordison or Mr. Barker could trash this guy anyday. Allday. Erryday

  • @xXEvangelXx yea, they would dominate this guy in a sucking contest alright!

  • He's Peter Erskine, he can call it whatever the fuck he wants

  • @UKrocketeer its not silent is it

  • Looking at what he played right in the very beginning, he went lR L R rL R L lR L R rL L R lR L R rL L R. So he started with flam accents, but then switched to a right-side flam accents and left-side Swiss triplets (but switched lead hands after each Swiss triplet, which isn't the typical way to play them). He didn't stick lR L R over and over because, if he had, his flams would not have switched sides.

I didn't check what he played later on, but the sticking still looked weird.

  • thats easy, next..

  • I get the two mixed up all the time. Nobody really gives a shit what they r called

  • tho are not flam accents r l r l l r r l r l l r is wat he is doin

  • @snaremaster Its a flam triplet, hes accenting the triplet with a flam and then he goes on to do a flam tap

  • no dislike :) no drum haters in this entire world !

  • @shitty3344 Yeah I'm suprised the Travis barker and joey jordison dickriders haven't thrashed this comment-section yet.

  • Lateralus*

  • Well put laterus. Good man

  • he looks shit cool in the suit and trainers too

  • These are not swiss army trips. He is sticking lR L R which never changes. They are flam accents without alternating the sticking or the flam to make it a true series of flam accents. If it were swiss army trips then the sticking would be lR R L or rL L R and that clearly is not the case. Maybe this guy does know what he's talking about and the Einsteins that flood youtube can get a grip on reality and step out of moms basement for a minute and play a gig or two like this guy has.

  • accent not emphasize.

  • He isn't playing swiss army triplets or flam accents. It looks like he's playing flam accent inverts, if such a thing exists, in the triplet portion. If not, then they're just alternated swisses. The sixteenth-base bits are swisses.

  • not everything is rudiments.. at least here he doesn't think of it as one

  • he alternates the flam accents and swiss's which is actually harder than straight flam accents. don't be a douche, he is easily better than you.

  • PETER____YOU ARE NOT PLAYING A FLAM ACCENT____THAT"S A SWISS ARMY TRIPLET_____COME ON MAN<YOU ARE MY FAVORITE JAZZ DRUMMER<PLEASE KNOW WHAT YOU"RE PLAYING!!!!!!

  • He's playing Swiss Triplets.

  • Why is he playing swiss army triplets....

  • @supersexy0069 hmmm

  • @supersexy0069 youre an idiot

  • buena suerte y buena vida ...!

  • problem with these instructors are they don't realize that people who watch are self taught beginner. Break it up and slow down.

  • nice vid!!!

I bought a drum rudiment poster and dvd at

    DrumRudimentPoster.comx-minus the x :) it rocks!!!

  • @dendev one of the most influent drummers is erskine..the man played 6 quarters of flam accent in triplets and 6 of swiss in sixteens!good for all

  • forget how it looks people, can't you HEAR the flams?

  • @willV I didnt know tapping a pad was audible

  • @UKrocketeer Oh. Well, it is.

  • doesn't matter. he's the man

  • he's not doing a one handed flam accent

    he's doing swiss army triplets

  • ..one of the greatest, but doesn't know much about rudiments

  • All he is doing is a Flam Accent without alternating the rudiment. He is doing the 'right side' only. Funny too...he mistakenly says 'flam tap' at one point as well.

  • It is swiss army triplets.

Flam accents are alternating. lRLR rLRL etc ....

  • @drummied mate, it's not, haven't u got eyes?? :D those are all flams on left hand, all rLLR rLLR .....

  • nah, it's just swiss triplets. look at his hands.

  • I think stombaught1 is right. He's doing a R-flam accent with a L-swiss triplet. The problem is that his accents are really pronounced. I guess that's the drumline in me coming out. It's a great exercise though.

  • He's doing a right flam accent and then a left swiss triplet...crazy, but I still love the guy!

  • Those are definitely flam accents.
