They have Clapton playing the famous solo off of "Sunshine" and he's not exactly doing it as we remember, but after 45 years, who can remember stuff like that?
My cousin introduced this album and group to me when I was quite young, along with cigarettes and alcohol, but I digress. My life has never been the same since that summer...music has been a part of me ever since and it's because of the talent of artists like these. Still my favorite Cream album.
one of my favorite albums - maybe it doesn't date as well as it should with all the psychedelic trappings but it's got tremendous guitar (some of the solos ripped from Albert King) -- a real milestone in modern rock - thanks for posting
Jack never got the recognition he should have as a singer-- and as a classically trained cellist, upright bassist, etc. This has to be the band I'd have to say that I favor best!
Nook thanks for posting this. What a great story. We were so sick of Sunshine of your love on the radio but when you hear it now after a little lay off a fantastic tune. Ginger and Jack's contributions were really underplayed at the time. Thanks again.
i liked syd's music with the Floyd the most,Relics is one of my favorite albums that i had, richard wright i think kind of made for their trippie sound in the 60's,the Floyd was one of the heavyweights of the 70's though, just not sure if american audiences were aware of them in the 60's
the cream pretty much invented hard core rock music and the jimi hendrix experience pretty much invented physchodelic music or the trippy music of that time,2 iconic bands more or less

You heard the man. "Pick it that up and turn it kind of loud, even if you wake up the neighbours".

Clapton also took the solo off BLUE MOON
Obelisk2290 10 months ago
@Obelisk2290 I know. First few notes of the solo cop the song note for note - that's just before he gets to those three tone bends of his.

@HorrorHound11 I agree. We should be thankful to that man's great taste in music.
