im not sure how deep the water is above your fountain (the one you were talking about traping the enemy's) but if you just add another block of anything on the bottom of the lake, you can make the celing higher

You can make your farm more effective by using the 4 square principal. One blocke of water will hydrate the soil up to 4 blocks out. and the water doesnt have to touch the soil

@MrOnastick The only reason to have grass floors is if your farming animals. If you don't monsters in your trap, put torches everywhere (In farm). These will keep monsters from spawning and still spawn animals at night.

You Can Stack Fences. Just Put Down A Row Of Blocks, Then Put Your Fences Together On Top Of The Blocks, Destroy The Lower Blocks Then Lay Your Fences Underneath Your Already Created Fences.

u can have infinite water by making a 3x1 into a mt or making it with stone then you fill in the sides and only take from the middle. But remeber use it sparingly.:)
