My 2011 Odyssey is going in for it's third, Front-Brake Job! .... The Front Rotors were replaced at 11,800 miles, then the new ones were turned at 23,500 miles, and now, at 34,000 miles, the Front Brake Rotors and Pads will be replaced.
And... and... the Front Struts have gone bad. I have owned a lot of new cars in my Life, continued…
but never, ever had to do any kind of brake work on any of them, before 50,000 miles... let alone THREE BRAKE JOBS in 34,000 Miles!
So, BE WARNED... if you feel any amount of "shimmy" or "vibration" out of your front-end when you brake... especially when you first start to brake at highway speeds, then immediately take it your Dealer. The warranty on Brakes is only the first 12,000 miles, but you can probably get service after this since it has now become a widely-known issue!
i know honda odyssey is a good minivan but damn 2011 look like a funeral car this year i rather get a toyota sienna AWD vs honda odyssey 2011 4WD i got stock in snow 5 times already on 4WD i hope AWD makes it better..

i build these, i wouldnt drive one. id rather drive a phantom... but thats just me.. its built the same as any other car manufacturing cooperation on an assembly line... QUICK .. its about quantity not quality. we push out 600 a day, from painted shell to rolling odyessy...3.5 hours
I love Toyota/Honda/Subaru but I do have to say, the new odyssey does look better than the sienna. all of Toyota's recent designs take cues from all the other cars in the lineup :( they need to work on the styling. the new sienna looks great but yeah, hands down win for the odyssey here.
The Odyssey is always topnotch when it comes to driving. I have driven both the Sienna and the Odyssey. They are both great. But I can only own one, so I have to pick the better one. I picked up the Odyssey. The new Sienna has a really good design and paint. But the Odyssey has a sleek and good design too, and judgment depends on individual tastes for that. But in the end, it will be the driving that matters because the car sheen and color degrades as it gets older in a few months, exposed.

The Odyssey has been #1 since inception, Honda is much better quality and safer vehicle than Toyota, which explain the difference in the type of customers who purchase them; most Honda buyers are better educated customers who did their home work and research the vehicle.
