And why do people always do the ring thing when talking about great players. Look how long it took Mj to get one. There are plenty of memorable matches my favourites was game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals where he carried the team on his shoulders and scored 45 points after Scottie Pippen got struck down with a bad back.
The flu game was argubly one of his best when he racked up 38 points after only scoring 4 points in the first quarter. This one is more of a statement to Stackhouse just to let him know who is boss.

I recall this game. Jerry Stackhouse, the rookie, had a pretty nice first week or so in the NBA and commented on how easy the NBA was. Well UNC coach Dean Smith contacted Jordan before this game and told Jordan to take Stackhouse down a peg and humble him.

@bulletproofbruno it's called fundamentals...more SGs these days should have them...maybe they wouldn't hover around the low to mid 40s in fg percentage. fundamentally weak players will always be "contested" (i.e. defenders will be right on their a** or they will make their own shots more difficult) while fundamentally strong players will make better decisions and be less "contested" (i.e. space will be created for offense to flow...execution...passing for a shot and shooting is EASIER ).

No team that has ever won a championship was 1 player and 11 bad players. What Jordan doing it by himself means he did it without a low post scoring presence. And more than once. Kobe had Shaq (and now has pau gasol). The Celtics (of 2008) had Garnett. The pistons had Sheed. The Spurs had Duncan. The Rockets had Olajuwon. The Celtics in the 80s had Parish/McHale. Besides the Pistons of the 80s (who didn't really have a low post scoring option) The bulls are the only team to win without a dominate inside scoring option. They won 6 titles in 8 years. They also dominated in the regular season too during their championship years. 61 wins, 67 wins, 57 wins, 72 wins, 69 wins, 62 wins. They also played during an era of hard fouls and defense. No handchecking violations. No defensive 3 second violations.

He also had career averages of 31.4ppg on 50% fg. This isn't to downplay Kobe at all. And I hope that one day another player truly comes along that is better than Jordan. Don't look at just the 3pt%, look at the attempts. MJ didn't take 100 3's in a season until 88-89, when he shot 38%, which, incidentally, matches Kobe's career best.
Early in his career MJ just didn't shoot 3's. ALl his attempts were bailouts at the end of the shotclock.

See if MJ cared about stats like Kobe he would've kept playing and played the 4th quarter and get mass points. MJ did that a lot in during the second three peat probably due to his age. They would go full blast and get a comfortable lead and he'd sit and ice his knees etc like in the 1998 finals game 3 the bulls got a massive lead over the jazz and the entire starting line up sat and rested, iced their knees etc Jordan, Pippen, Kukoc, Harper they let the bench play entire 4th in a lot of games.
