I sold my Unlimited Wrangler. the roof thing is just too much of hasle that I am not prepared to do as often as I like to use the open roof option. I will buy one if this fix an automated system for the roof opening and put a proper V8 engine in there.

I always thought that the hard-top version's soft-top was already in place underneath it. That sucks! Thats alot of work switching between hard top and soft top when the seasons change.
i own a 2003 wrangler i wish they would come up with some type of automated system i hate fighting with my tops the soft top is a pain in the ass when new but it softens up in time not that bad after that as were the hard top you have to be a weight lifter to put it on very heavy because of glass but other than that the truck is really well built a good product if youre looking for bells and whistles dont buy this truck its for real men not suits and tie guys and the like later dudes
Same here in Texas. Gets to about 44C with highs around 40C for five months out of the year. I think I'll go for the hard top. It looks like less hassle to take on and off when a friend is available to help lift it.

One thing is for sure on this video....you must have at least 2 persons to take off the hard top...even better if you have 3.
I have a jeep wrangler with a one piece hard top....you have to be very aggressive to get the top lifted off...not for the faint , or weak hearted.

Where I live the temp. never get near -10, but gets to +50 so can't use the soft top during summer.
