Tasers are legal in most states and cities.  Check your local laws and you can purchase online. I used a Taser International X26c in this video. This is the civilian version of what the cops carry. Something more economical would be the C2 Taser. Good luck.

To the people here that don't understand why you'd tase yourself before carrying one, that's normal. All police officers (I think all, if not most) must get at least a couple seconds of the charge before they can be certified to carry. It isn't that way with pistols because tasers ARE NOT deadly weapons. VERY low amperage.

The voltage waveform is "tuned" to interfer with the nerves in your body. Basically introduces "white noise" into your nervous system and blocks the signals from your brain to your muscles. I fell because I had no control over my muscles. So it doesn't matter what your assailant is on (drugs) he/she is going down. The X26 is not "pain compliance" like a stun gun, it is total involuntary compliance.

Taser International's X26, it's the same thing most police departments are issuing. Only difference is that this is the "c" version for civilian. The LE version shoots 24' and the firmware is different, other then that it is identical.
