In his book 'what we say goes' Noam Chomsky says that Mohamed ElBaredei suggested that all nuclear material is placed under international control and states can apply to the IAEA use it peacfully, he says that the only country in favour of this system was Iran. Can anybody confirm this? If it is true then somebody needs to bring attention to it.

Iran might very well building a nuclear weapon, but if Iran is doing so, then it's doing so for it's own protection against Israel and the US. If Iran is successful in building a few nukes, then Iran will never wage a war against Israel or the US, simply because this will trigger nuclear war and after such a war there will be no victor. All side would be defeated to some serious extent.

Apparently, Saudi Arabia offered to replace China's oil supplies from Iran for a lower price, but China refused because it knows Iran has a potential to be a regional superpower. I'm just saying, China isn't totally reliant on one state for her energy needs, there are other powers with plenty of oil.

@BunnySwanson Look at it a different way. The middle east has a lot of oil. Israel was a nation that was razed up from the ground by America and France. Believe it or not the first military aid that was given to Israel was from France, during their first war with the Arabs. Britian backed the Arabs and gave them military aid along with the Russians. When Israel won multiple wars, the west including britian realized that Israel is a good nation to be used as a way to control the middle east. Oil!

Iran is under constant threat of attack by the Axis of Evil - USA, Britain and Israel.
Maybe Iran should PREEMPTIVELY strike Israel and the US bases. That would be an actual preemptive strike, because Israel and USA are openly threatening Iran with attack on a daily basis.
Any attack by USA/Britain/Israel would not be in any way preemptive. It would be an act of pure aggression by definition.
