I would not recommend putting your rope in the driveway. You never know what kind of harmfull chemicals your vehicle could be dropping off there. Those chemicals could reduce the strength of your rope. I just flaked my rope out on a tarp and let air from a vent blow on it.

can't you just quad-daisy it and throw it in the wash with no detergent>?

should be able to, just dry in shade.
