In response to questions about where this was shot, the location was Point Sur Lighthouse in Big Sur, California. Beautiful place. And it was fun playing the piano up on that windy cliff by the lighthouse!

@graysonhugh1 I can tell you now that you deserved much more than just the one hit down here in Aust (Talk it over). Your album "Blind to Reason" is fantastic.-daz in oz
I remeber watchin' this my son was 3 or so I loved my VH1 This was on I thought finally something new male vocalist! bought the cassette still have it played that til it squeaks... so now I have to have 2 cds of this guy or else?
this man is the best singer of al time he is soul the rythem of life and makes my heart sore wow i love it great great great need to get some cd,s but my music shop dont sell any anyone any ideas
I didn't know there was a video for this song! Wow! Thanks for posting! It's too bad Grayson got type-cast as a one-hit wonder; This song's parent album, "Blind to Reason" was good all the way through! Every song on the first side is worth hearing! (For those of you not familiar, Grayson Hugh is best known for the song "Talk it Over".)
I would like to know where this video was made, been to the White Cliffs of Dover and White Sands US, GREAT SONG AND VIDEO KEEP IT UP MAKE MORE THANKS
Dear jrsheeross - I made this video in Big Sur, California, in August of 1988. We used a lighthouse that is set on the top of a steep little hill overlooking the surf. We had to get permission from the Coast Guard to hoist a piano up there. It was a beautiful scene.
Love this song too!! Would love to hear "Blind to Reason"! Fantastic song! I hear there's rumors of a new CD - I certainly hope so. I'd love to have more Grayson Hugh music. Your voice speaks to me - what a talented man you are!
Begging to find your music Grayson. First time I heard your voice....I mean within seconds...I was a goner ! Lost my old cassette "Talk It Over" and have been looking to replace it for YEARS. If anyone can direct me to a site to buy it pulleeeezzz get back to me.
So great to see this again. I think I saw this only one time back in the 80s. Anyone who does not own Grayson Hugh's two full length CDs needs to find them and buy them. He is one if the best blue-eyed soul singers you will ever hear. Definitely a Soul Cat.
I had the album "Blind to Reason" on cassette, and this song is on it. The album is superb. Grayson deserved better success quite frankly. -daz in oz
