NICE...? Haha! Yukikaze's a good anime and Ace Combat is the best dogfighting game created! Just wish that Yukikaze would have used an advanced modern plane like the F/A-22 Raptor and the F-35. It would have been better if the planes we see are the ones that the real airforce use.

@kwehfish1993 It's a bit late to say this but the author of the Yukikaze books ( the anime is based off of the first two books -- there's 3 out now) wrote Yukikaze in the 1980s and had these planes hand designed from his imagination and the research he did on the planes that were modern for him. You should look up the first book to see what he really wanted, it's been translated to English and published here.

Ace combat Six and Zero were all good games, but I still think that AC5 holds the champ title. You were apart of a real team and got to see the war through the eyes of the pilots. You even got to experience the loss of one of your wing mates. Also, for Zero they changed how the planes fly. In ac5 the f-16D(?) was one of the best planes to fly, but in zero, it was so freakin hard to dogfight because it felt like it had no monewverablility(sp?)The Strike Eagle was given a boost so that was cool.

I agree. AC5 is THE best of the ones I have played (AC5+Zero) and it has a much better plot than Zero, but it was sad when Chopper died. I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but I actually CRIED during the scene where he crashed and died. Then again, I had been up all night and it was 4:15ish in the morning when I got to that part, and I always get weepy about melodramatic stuff around that time. RIP Chopper.

Holy crap guys i did an experiment where i played Hero by Nickleback and i waited until right after "look what love gave us" at the beginning of the next verse i played this vid without sound on in another tab and it fit almost perfectly. Thxs for the vid man. You guys should try it maybe! (even at the end with "ohhh ohhhhhh" it shows a squadron in the sunset- so amazing)

Sentou Yousei Yukikaze. There is a SYY videogame out for the x-box, but it's only released in Japan. Regardless, the visuals there are from the animé itself. Search youtube for them and see for yourself.

the clips are not from the AC series... Namco adds fantasy but not THAT much fantasy... I want to say Airforce Delta strike or some anime cartoon but I am not certain... if you did get those from an earlier version then I am sorry its just you never had to fly into space in any of the AC versions I have played so far...

haven't played ac3, have you? Meh, the space mission was boring anyway. Anyway, Yukikaze is awesome, I suggest you check it out. There was no flying into space, however. Just some high altitude recon stuff, so I'm not too sure what you were getting at.

yup. it's kinda fun, but in the US release the story was very very weak, so I don't really know what the point was.

@theslvrbullt yes .. but everyones talk about AC3 japan version because is pretty smilar whit Yukikaze for the futuristic jets and also have anime animation and you can perform 5 different endings ... instead the US version who was straight foward whit only 1 path , they delete all the scenes and diloges and .... all is a wtf moment who you don't know where you stay and why for the war ...while you can play JP version find some dialoge traslation on google and understand who happen

@theslvrbullt there is a mission called Zero Gavity in AC3 (both version ... but JP version is more interesting and fun if you like the original and anime scenes and dialoges)
