  • If I wanted to get one of these for my Kimber Desert Warrior, what kind of barrel and other accessories would I need?

  • @CavScout08 you would just need a 1911 barrel threaded .578x28. KKM does an awesome job with these barrels.

  • I went to go purchased the 45 Osprey DFE and was advised that you guys have discontinued them. This is heartbreaking to know since I just bought the FNP 45 Tactical in the Flat Dark Earth pacificly for this set up with the osprey. I was going to get a suppressor no matter what so I had no other choice but to buy the black osprey. I have a very important question, if you can't disassemble the 45 Osprey, can I still take the black one and have it Cerakote to Flat Dark Earth by a local gunsmith?

  • @mike74dt We are sorry about that. Honestly we just did not sell enough of the FDE Ospreys to keep that product around. And when we did sell them we were getting complaints on the color. It is a very difficult color to make. FN cant even do it. Talk to your local gun smith and see what he can do for you. That should be no problem.

  • I am in the market for a suppressor and I really like your product. Seeing as it is not user servicable it makes me a little reluctant. So even when using a substance like wire pulling gel to shoot the can "wet" this suppressor does not need to be cleaned out ever? Just a question because like I said i want one and it just seems that with the gel in the suppressor and all the carbon build up, it would lead to quite a mess and eventually clog the suppressor. any feed back would be awesome.

  • Thanks for the info. Cool to see you reply so fast. Look forward to buying one of these in a few months.

  • @tstrenuous10 Anytime! Thanks for stopping by our channel. Let us know if we can answer any more questions for you.

  • Why is there a spring on the piston assembly? Do all suppressors have those in them?

Also....it really doesn't need to be cleaned ever unless I feel the need to kill some time?

  • @tstrenuous10 The booster assembly can be cleaned and should be every so often. But the core does not need to be cleaned. The spring allows flawless cycling with all relevant semi-automatic handguns.

  • There is a FDE one at the shop calling me so bad. Will the 45 work ok with a 9mm as well? I heard you guys may make a user serviceable osprey once the saker line is established. Is this just a rumor? Been holding off on that FDE for that reason.

  • @UnheardShooter If we did make the Osprey user serviceable, it would be a while. If you want the FDE I would grab it!

  • I love the osprey design and really want one of the 45's but have been reluctant because I thought they were not user serviceable. So after watching this I guess it is take apart user serviceable but only by the factory? If I can take it apart myself, I'm buying one tomorrow

  • @UnheardShooter Only at the factory. These almost never need to be cleaned on the inside. But if you feel that it does need to be cleaned you can send it back to us free of charge and we pay shipping both ways :).

  • @UnheardShooter We also have a lifetime warranty on all of our products.

  • I have one in 45. What holds the tube together? Is it the pressed in collar?

  • changing out the piston?

  • Such a down to earth company, you guys rock.

  • What's the friction fit ring for? Is it for absorbing the force from the suppressor going forward?

  • @omfg191 friction ring is for the cam lock lever to lock onto.

-lock cam lever so piston stays put (interchangeable pistons for different threads of barrel)

-thread the suppressor onto host weapon

-unlock the cam lever so suppressor rotates freely

-orient the suppressor to your liking (even gangster sideways if you want)

-lock the cam lever and it will always thread to the same position to that particular host weapon.

  • It looks like that pressed in collar is the only thing keeping the suppressor in "jail"? Why not leave that off and let people take the can apart to clean it? I know that 45 isn't an inherently "dirty" round but it seems like it would be a simple thing to do?

  • Quick question. If that's all it takes to make a suppressor, why are upwards of $600?

  • @iLikeToitools Its machine time, employee time, the tools in the machine, raw stock, coating, assembly, etc.

  • @iLikeToitools R&D, liability insurance, all the paperwork BS and fees the ATF forces them to go through, and the fact that compared to other products silencers have a very small market. If they only made 10 cents on a sale they wouldn't stay in business. As it is, they're hardly scalping us.

If you want to complain, write your congressman and ask why you have to pay $200 tax per purchase to acquire a hearing safety device.

  • were can i get one for my 22

  • @budyrow They don't make a Osprey for your 22. They make the Sparrow with either aluminum core or stainless steel core for your 22. Sparrow is a round suppressor as apposed to Osprey.

  • The SilencerCo team ROCKS!

  • Q. will I be able to get 1/2 x 28 , (.5x28) for my glock 19 and will it also work on the AR15 with 1/2 x 28. I see you don't yet have any for rifles. Thank you and hope to soon be shooting with your units.

  • @Duluiyah yes, you can get .5X28 piston for you 19, but no, you cannot use it on an ar-15. We will be releasing our rifle products soon. Thanks for your support

  • cant wait to have mine in hand.

  • Oh my God, you guys are awesome. I am so glad I ordered an Osprey. And here I thought the tube was press-fit on both ends. As you all have such great customer service I think I'll leave any disassembly to the pros, but it is nice to know you engineered it to be maintained.

  • Great video, thanks

  • This is why you guys are the best silencer manufacture ever. Not scared to show hows its done. Awesome! Cant wait to get my new stainless sparrow and osprey.

  • Very cool. Thanks

  • I love that you guys are so willing to show the products off with very little BS fluff. It's like "this is our product, take it or leave it".
