  • I have the song Blue Bayou on my ipod.

  • Statler: I really liked that.

    Waldorf: Me too.

Statler: ...Are we in the right theater?

  • Aw man. My jaw dropped through the floor not just at the male dancer's spider costume, but even more at Raquel's! Wooweewoo!

  • Who in the HELL would dislike this?!?

  • Is there a chance that the muppets could make a comeback?

  • @Scorpio110186 no disney cant handle it

  • I bet all the men in the crew were drooling over Raqual Welch in the cavewoman costume.

  • money shit

  • Now I know how they managed the Swedish chef!!!!.. My favorite!! n.n

  • Im 11 and i love the muppets

  • well then my friend, you rock!

  • im 11 and i love the muppets too!

  • I never see a "making of the muppet show before". Great.

  • Can you believe the dress on Raquel Welch?? That would never happen on a kid's show today! (too bad!)

  • It wasn't necessarily a "kids" show.

  • yeah it certainly wasn't aimed at kids.. it was aimed at adults, but always had an appeal with kids

i think that can be said for many of Jim's projects and i'm sure he was okay with that. Today muppets are considered for children, and possibly even a novelty act at that.. sad.. soo sad

  • @sandieb43: Yes, Sesame Street was for kids, The Muppet Show for adults, & Fraggle Rock for no determined demographic. But still, adults and children both could enjoy all these franchises for all they could offer.

  • Today kids would be watching Britney Spears not only in a sexy dress, but also dancing in ways which seem to exude promiscuity. At least the kids of my generation saw Raquel dancing with some classy talent on a creative show.

  • jim henson, true hero!

  • Wow. Look at how young Brooke Shields is.

  • She was the youngest guest star of the Muppet Show at 15 years old.

  • brooke sheilds was the youngest

  • u can get the muppets on dvd!!! WOO! :D.... but it costs quite a bit

  • thanks a ton for posting these! and such good quality. I haven't seen 'Of Muppets' for 15 or 16 years.

  • excelent!

  • who is that singing blue bayou? Linda Ronstadt?

  • I do believe that is, indeed, Linda Ronstadt. There's no way to know for certain, though, unless you can get the Muppet Show on DVD somewhere.

  • Yup you're right it's Linda Ronstadt.

  • Actually, the Linda Ronstadt episode is on one of the TimeLife collections as well.

  • You better believe it!

  • It is of course a cover of the brilliant original by Roy Orbison (which I think is about a million times more moving)

  • You guessed it! Beautiful song, too!
