sounds interesting but if you plant lemon basil and lemon grass all around your house, mosquitoes will magically disappear. They simply go riproduce somewhere else. It seems too simple for it to function so don't do it! lol
B.T.I bacteria, when diluted in water, is also a great way to kill mosquitoes, no matter what life stage they are on. It also kills fungus gnats which are pests that feed on the roots of (house)plants. BTI is a bacteria that binds to receptors in the insects' guts and affects the way they eat.
Mammals, however do not have these receptors, and neither do fish and birds. It is safe for people and only affects insects (some kinds).

@aaaarrrgggghh I have just bought some lavender for indoors and I hope that that is going to work.
We don't find out what the natural repellent here is.
