  • @dandotreillydot42058

watch out guys!we are messing with a badass over here!!!!

  • @1tsekouris i just thought that was interesting. i dont think 45 miles in a week makes me a bad ass or not but when i looked all the way back in my running log, my first log was when i was 14. that week in xc we ran 45 miles. add me at the log. danreilly2

  • "Um."

  • No, I've never ran before. Not for fitness, anyway.

  • "First time running" LOL Some people haven't ran before?!?

  • @MissBMTHFan Some people don't run, like me, and have never really ran except for in PE where I was forced to.

  • @MissBMTHFan P.E. doesn't count I guess :P

  • Hope i will win

  • this seems like to easy of a schedule i mean im running 15 miles 5 times a week maybe im overpreparing but

  • shall i take protine after running ??

  • im running my first marathon and she's right listen to the body ,,,,, very informative,,

  • i want a t shirt!!!

  • not as good as it can be training has to be harder

  • Thx for the motivation! Def. Training for the NYC marathon!.. I want to get that feeling :D

  • i am train for a marathon.

  • my plan for marathon is to firstly sprint ( london marahton) and catch up with the elites, wave to the telly, and commentors be like wow he must be pro, pretend your on to win but like 3 seconds later you just quit from cramps :p

  • @RB90350 - easy huh? What is the best time that you have done for a Marathon?

  • Why do you have to be sleeping with your running buddy?

  • Anyone can do a marathon, it's not that hard it's actually easy. Want to challenge yourself, take up ski mountaineering!

  • my trainer sucked the longest distance i had run was 12 miles and he told us that we were in good shape to completed the marathon...i fuck#ng hate him

  • Great video and great advice. I think you have covered some very good points. It is a great achievement to complete a full marathon.

  • wwow, didnt know you get a medal at the end

    even more incentive now lol

  • 'if this is your first time running...'...

well give 15 years...until your at least 16 years old then run a marathon.

  • really helpfull thanks

  • You're killing my dream, Beth.

  • I averaged about 2 miles a week for almost 6 months this year and my longest race was a 10k and three weeks before my race, I did a 68 mile bike ride which took me 3:51:00. I then ran my Pensacola Marathon in 4:03:09 last weekend. My longes run this year was the Pensacola Half Marathon in January. Lots of cross training and trampolining. I could not find a friend to run with so I got into trampolining and it's so much fun and great for run training!

  • pretty cool a t-shirt

  • stupid question but...

what's a good way of making sure i run everyday? because i'm lazy.

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea very stupid question. you have to change yourself. change the way you think. unless the drive comes from you, and not from any external force, you will not succeed. you are not lazy. you just have not discovered the pleasure that can be enjoyed from excercise and self control. deprive yourself once and a while.... go for delayed gratification, instead of instant gratification.

  • @CoffeeBeatsTea stick a tredmill in front of the tv. be on it while watching a tv show you like.

  • @tobiosnmakky I don't like treadmills but I've been running more often since I posted that comment :P

  • I have been running 45 miles since april and now i am going to 50 miles in october

  • i have been running 6 miles since april and now i am going to 8 miles in october

  • Good Vid.

  • ha canadians...

  • Great video btw!

  • do u recommend using ankle weights when running?

  • @patman173 no...... don't even attempt it

  • @ranbert @ranbert i dont mean when running the marathon i mean when training

  • lol 'only increase you're distance by a maximum of 10% a week' and then she suggests starting with 'short miles' over the first few weeks. If you do that for the first two weeks and then increase by her maximum 10% a week it will take 36 weeks to get to the 20 mile mark well over her 26 week suggestion.

  • I have never followed a plan. I did my first marathon with only 1 month of running training. Lots of stretching and ski mounteering got me in shape to run a 3:31. I heavily agree with training with a buddy. And if you can't find someone to run with, you can do a marathon with only 10 miles a week as long as you adequately cross train. Other than that, great advice!

  • @RB902050 you sir, must be a machine. I'm 4 weeks into a 16 week half marathon training plan and I am hurting! I'm not training with a buddy, but I will be running the event with one. I've given them platitudes of "it's not about time for me, it's about just finishing", and then I'll leave him for dead. Mwahahah!

  • Terrible advice, 1) see a doctor?? 2) read read read....

This is a terrible video, nothing to do with training for a marathon.

  • @johnlvs2run Your damned fool.

  • lol my body tells me to take a break right when i start

  • This was a really helpful find when looking around for info on my first big run. Nice information condensed into one place!

  • you're really cute

  • i realy like this, it actualy told me things that i didnt already know unlike every other training video

  • this was great. very informative! thank you.
