  • Ouch. Sorry about bike mate :( I have a brand new ZZR myself and even the thought of something happening to it makes me sad.

  • Doh! that sucks man :( glad your ok, I want a ZZR1400 there so badass and will be a huge HUGE step up from my 600 hornet :D

  • i am only sixteen but i am a serious bike enthusiast and all the cocksuckers that think they are tough try to fuck up everyone elses riding experience the same as car drivers they fuck us up as well but i feel sorry for you man, Astonishist i adore the ninja zx14 and it is a shame to see one go down

  • am glad you're ok bro...could you please tell us how it happened?

  • @Rezaroth It was a high-side which was just rider error, plain and simple. Being on touring tyres didn't help, but at the end of the day it was down to too much throttle too early.

  • @Astonishist It takes courage, both on the track and on the Internet to do this. I never leave azzholes the ability to act like fools when I post a video; I disable comments. People say sh** to each other for which they know they'd lose teeth in real life. I have a ZX-14 and have taken it to the track. It's a beast to wrestle around and it's really easy to get too puch power into the corners. Thanks for posting the video. I hope you have been able to get it back on the road. Cheers!

  • Why on earth would you get a GSXR750 after riding the Z14? Not that it's a bad bike but aside from cornering it just seems like such a huge step down in every way... personally I'm never selling my ZX14. Can't imagine my garage not having one in it!

  • rest in peace

  • damn i broke my collar bone too hehe

  • Absolutely gutter for you pal hope it hasnt kept you off 2 wheels at least you did it on the track no pavements or lamp posts to deal with did you get the big ZZR back on the road ?? what all needed sorted ?

  • Solidarnosc... I love this bike... I hope you can get another one, not just a BMW that was modified to downgrade the HP value... Buy another ZZR!!!

  • Breaks my heart whenever I see a crash. Specially when the Bike's taken more damage than the Rider. Not that I would favor the other but I just admire those bikes and hate to see then damaged nor scratched. Good thing your safe and sound after all this! Ride safe as always! ^_^

  • =(

  • Sad to see her getting scratched like that. Glad you're ok. A collar bone isn't nothing, but it isn't the end of the world either. My ZX14 is black and new. She's been christened The Lady Macbeth, and I'm going to track day her as soon as the filthy lucre permits.

  • Glad you were ok. Have to say I'm impressed with the lean angle you look like you were getting on 'non-trackday' tyres, before the highside. Nice one! I have a ZZR 1400 as well, will trackday it one day (with sticky rubber, natch).

  • ahh man...that truly sucks! I feel for ya! tbh, it didn't look too bad considering how big the crash was, and considering it is covered in plastic. was it a right off? Glad you got back out there!

  • KEEP your head up . any bike crash you can walk awayfrom is just a learning experience . Just remember that there are 3 kind of riders . they are as follows; One that has gone down, One that has been down, and One that is going down again. Burn rubber rider not your SOUL!

  • Glad you were not badly injured. Is special insurance coverage required when riding on track? That is, to cover damage to the bike?

  • @myronmurff Insurance isn't required, and in the UK at least, it's not worth taking. It's very expensive, has a very high excess, and doesn't cover things like the plastics. It's so pointless I've never heard of anyone having it.

  • dont let people talk shit. most likely there to broke to even own a bike. ive been riding since i was 16 and in 4 years i have crashed twice. the best of us do go down. nothing like a track day to boost ur street riding. and to the idiots talking shit you will see me zooming by at 170mph while ur mom is driving u around. team green!!!

  • man u have my sympathy..shit like that happens..thank god it happened during a track day and there was noone around...propably you must have fixed the bike by now..take care :)

  • Your an idiot brah....Bikes dont drive up side down..learn to drive

  • @davidgsr2k Oh look another wanker who goes on the internet anonymously abusing people from thousands of miles away. How brave you are. I believe what you meant to say was "You're an idiot..bikes don't ride upside-down..learn to ride." If you're going to attempt an insult at least learn to spell first. Even the best of the best crash. If you never crash you're not trying hard enough. So, fuck you very much and goodbye.

  • @Astonishist

Im glad your okay, I laid mine down at 144 mph flew 192 feet from where I let her go until helmet and shoulder impact. Hurt like a mofo. Her and I were healed at about the same time. She is fully repared/rebuilt. Looks even better than before the accident. Now I have ran some 222 LED's (bright white) on a solid black gixxer.

  • @davidgsr2k That is the dumbest thing I've read in a while.

  • @davidgsr2k where's you bike bitch? or is it somewhere in your sack of bullshit?

  • Fuck, it makes me wanna cry seeing such a beautiful bike crash, good thing you got away with only a broken collar bone, I broke my leg , and dislocated my shoulder, I was lucky , very powerful bike!

  • I hate seeing a bike smahsed up like that. What bike do you have now as you said in a previous comment ... "Had I kept the bike ..."

  • @IP1NKYI I then got a GSX-R750 K6 which was brilliant. I had that a year then sold it and now I don't have a bike. I'm planning on getting another though, just need to decide what. Quite like the look of the BMW 1000RR. That an SV650 in your pic? Love them!

  • @Astonishist

Yeah it is. Its my first "BIG" bike. Only had it a couple of months, restricted to 33bhp though. Them BMW's look real nice aswell. Good luck with whatever you decide to get!

  • @Astonishist

Wicked Nice bike the Gixxer 750. I have an 04 750 Strechted 8" and lowered 3", w/ headers and shorty pipe, geared 2 up in the rear sprocket and 1 down in the front. K&N air filter, running a 190 rear tire. Let me tell you the GSX-R 750 is no joke it will keep up and possibly beet just about any bike out there. Mine however isnt built for track coners, its meant to stomp all over most bikes from 0-175 mph, Straighways she is sick.

  • Stick a new tank on, that'll be as good as new ;P

  • I got a 2010 performance edition, i agree it's a amazing bike but going on a track without a steering damper is a bad idea.

  • What tires were you using? Curious because I am going to the track soon with my 14. Thanks

  • @jamesfs912 Avon Storm ST. Very good tyres, better than the OE Bridgestone, but not designed for rack use. Had I kept the bike I would have gone for something like Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's next.

  • Track ridings harder thay people think and the ZZR is a big bike! There are some good pics there mate just an unlucky incident . Don't listen to the know-it-alls half of them probably don't even ride!!!!!!

  • well thats why we dont race zzr 1400s around race tracks, try a gixxer or a blade for track days, much cheaper to put right too.

  • I bet that cost a shed load to repair :(

  • ahh that sucks dude, i love the zzr1400 and donington is notoriously tricky to master! hope you healed soon mate and dont let it stop you ragging it around on the track :) chin up buddy

  • Wow, glad you were not hurt. It hurts me just to watch the crash. As a ZX14 owner, I cringe thinking what you went through. Thanks for posting that.

  • unlucky on losing the bike, thats y when i did my full test i went a brought a shitty bike (AJS 600) coz i knew i was going 2 crash on a bigger bike, and when i did it didnt matter coz AJS is a hunk of junk anyway. btw i h8 u 4 crashing a ZZR they my second fav bike

  • Hey! But at least you got some nice crash pics! Always look on the bright side of life!

    ;-)

  • could some1 please give that son of a can-not-drive-ass a bitchslap !?

  • @punkbela Come try doin yourself, pussy

  • @Astonishist OMFG! Gotta love this counter comment! XD

  • @Astonishist Well, "punkbela" leads me to surmise that this person may be female that's, so your rebuttal may actually be anatomically correct. LOL. Good on ya for taking the big bike to the track.

  • @punkbela dont be a pussy, do it urself rand

  • @punkbela even in motoGP there are crashes.... and i-dont-think-you're-a-better-driver-then-they-are

  • @punkbela Dick head, why dont you get a life mate.

  • And? Is it fixed?

  • another ebay monstrosity

  • just a simple case of poor tyre choice on a big lump like the zzr im afraid m8, hope you got her back together ...oh hows the shoulder lump lol i got one too.

  • i was </3 when i saw this vid D=

  • The collarbone breaking is bad but denting your bike - I bet that really hurt.

  • These things are just not meant for track...

Even if you could drive it around it still loses to lighter counterparts.

  • @Spartan117FS Well, this is true, but you can put your Gran's Morris Minor on the track and see how it goes if you want. It's a better place to explore the capabilities of the bike and rider than the road. And if you do come down, there's help at hand, which often times there's not in the real world. You and the bike may get damaged, but you don't get a visit from mr plod while you're in traction, demanding you replace 100m of guard-rail either, or charging you with dangerous driving.

  • @Kneedragon1962

I was not even implying on driving on the roads.

I was comparing the bike to others in lap time performance.

  • happens to the best of us ... looks like the damage is just cosmetic .... the God it happen at the tract and not in the street .... and im sure having full gear on helped alot ... dont let a fall dent your pride even the best go down ... ask rossi

  • I felt like crying

  • You probably had a blinker fluid leak that made things a bit slippery. Thats what happens when you do a track day with lights! Whats with that?

Sorry about your bike but its just a machine as long as you walked away.

  • @BobbyfromPepper I take it you mean why are the headlights switched on right? Here in Europe modern bikes have no off switch for the headlights. The low beam headlights can't be switched off at all. Then when the bike turned upside-down it fell on the high beam switch so that's why the high beam is on.

  • @Astonishist No, I meant why do the headlights have power to them and why aren't they taped?

Your American cousins remove mirrors and tape all lights over so a) other riders aren't distracted and b) in a wreck no little pieces get spilled on the track.

We can't disable them either other than pulling the plug at the back or a fuse .

  • @BobbyfromPepper Ahh I see. Well, most riders here tend to just fold mirrors back so they can't see in them. There is no need to tape lights because,

    a) other riders won't be distracted as they have their mirrors folded back, and if they do choose to use mirrors then it's easier to spot a bike with lights on

    b) plastic lenses won't break and spread pieces over the track. They don't shatter like glass can. In fact after this crash neither the headlamp lenses or mirror glasses were even cracked.

  • esa moto no se puede tumbar tantooooo tontooo

  • Thats why you should have bought a Busa!!!!

  • Maybe you should learn how to ride before you get on a bike and a track like that. If you already know how to ride. Then your an idiot for not knowing better.

  • @Goinforaride Oh look, another moron who thinks they know it all. There's no reason not to take it on track, and even the best of the best crash you retard. I can guarantee no matter how good you think you are, if you haven't fallen you haven't pushed hard enough. You have no idea what my ability is so you're not qualified to comment on it. You're just another moron on the internet commenting on something you know fuck all about, and who most likely wouldn't have the balls to say it to my face.

  • @Astonishist Indeed, I bet hateful or dumb comments come from idiots in their mom's basement.Hope you recovered well and fixed up that gorgeous bike.

And: the TRACK in the best place to test/ride EVERY kind of motorbike, and ZZR is no less than other sportbike, you only have to have guts to user the throttle.

    Ciao (Ivan, r1 '04)

  • @Astonishist well said mate.

  • Nice video, bummer about the crash. how did it happen, did the rear spin up?

I often wonder about taking my busa on a track day and think the same thing, i guess like the busa yours has a harder compound rear on to get the mileage out of such a beast of an engine. I got 4500miles out of my last rear so it has to be a harder compound, no way would a rear last so long if it was sportbike soft.

    Hope you healed quick!

  • @AndySV1K Tyres were Avon Storm ST, which are actually very good, but perhaps not quite up to track use on such a big big. I was being tight and saving a few quid by not bothering to fit softer rubber for the track, or so I thought....

  • gutted for you mate, i hope you can get her fixed.

  • amazing motorcycle (1:32),without steering dumper.

  • At what speed did you play rag doll? did you fix the bike? are you still riding?

  • @9secondsflatm, hmm not really sure of the speed. What ever speed you get to just after exiting the foggy esses. Felt like around 60mph but I don't know for sure. I know I rolled for quite a way!

I sold the bike as it was an bought a GSXR750 K6, which was also a great bike. Now I don't have a bike, but since summer is coming, that might change soon. Do you ride?

  • yes, had a turbo busa (hence the 9secondsflat) i have a vid of me going down the strip in my vids...sold that just picked up an 08 silver zx14 this past tuesday.

  • good on ya mate, shit like that happens, my uncle has a 14 as well. he hasnt come off yet but no doubt will. sorry about the crash hope u were riding again soon

  • bravo

  • Oh mate I just got mine, everytime an owl farts I'm up looking to see the garage is ok. you must have been so gutted. Did you fix it?

  • Before this accident I would come back from a ride out and keep thinking about the ridiculous speeds I'd just been doing. After the crash I just decided to sell it because I was going to end up behind bars or in a box. I got rid and got GSXR 750 (also brilliant). There have been a lot of times since that I've thought about getting another 14 though. In my opinion they are almost faultless. Taking it to the Nurburgring was something else!

  • Yes thats todays story, been spanking down a road that I know very well usually 90 ish on the bandit. Z 120 - 140 I see your point box or box with bars! :) going on tour August out to Slovenia then to Brno for the Czech GP and back via Germany. Autoban heaven if it isnt raining.

    Regards

    Steve

  • sorry for your bike.I have an Z1000.same emotion on course.I don´t stop this feeling.....

  • perfect bike for track.

  • :( sorry

  • keep on keeping on

  • Sorry for your 1400 (same colour as mine) but what I'm scared is that this can happen to mine as well ... We are pushing too much on this bikes ... In any case ... keep up biking ... repair it and start again.

  • glad you got it fix again lovely bike

  • repair it and have fun again!!

  • ouch. unlucky mate.

  • dick head

  • @csaplarzs

Oh how brave people are when they can remain anonymous via the internet, and are in another country. Haha you pussy.

  • @csaplarzs

he was testing it on a circuit what the matter!

    Everybody falls a day.

I'm sure you have never ride à motorbike

  • @zildjan974 Aye even me, a non rider knows how hard it is to ride a bike. I don't understand how ferrari are still in buisness selling 200k cars which are many times slower than a 9K bike.. Crazy aye.

  • I went from the ZZR1100 to the 14.

    Piece of piss!!!

Much, much smoother than the 11 and the top end power is AWESOME>

    Wooooooooo-Hooooooooooooo

  • Rather envious really, never owned one, or had the money for one, I'm Stuck on the zzr 11and for everyday use the zzr 400.

Would love to take one for a spin on the tracks, but then again there is a world of difference between the 11 and 14, couldn't say if I could handle that baby!

  • I know that YOU must hurt more for the bike than for yourself.. So get on one as soon as possible, and let the bygones be bygones... KEEP ON RIDING!!!

  • i recently got myself a zzr14. Would break my heart to see it smashed up.Did you repair it in the end.Funny thing is i have the same old Nikano lid.Sent this clip to a friend and told him it was me ha ha. Had him going for a while.Ride safe

  • steedoneoone, no I sold it as it was. Recently been very tempted to get another. They really are brilliant. Took mine to the Nurburgring and it was perfect for covering the miles getting there and back, and for a good thrash round the 'ring. Recommend anyone to do it, I loved it.

  • Hey dude, atleast you were able to walk out.

  • you shoulda started small and went with a suzuki or something.

  • @kawasakiis2fast4u, most pointless comment yet. Nice one.

Suzuki what, Hayabusa? And who said this was my first track day? I've been a biker over 12 years, and had all kinds of bikes and done numerous track days. I'm not what you would call inexperienced. Even Rossi still falls off.

  • this is now on my favs list because i feel ya brother. ride safe, ride hard, die free.

  • i feel you brother. I had the 2008 zx14. greatest bike i ever owned. but i had to sell it as i had a baby. it was a terrible time. hard to let go. but yours is worse, to see it go down hard, and you get hurt. sorry to hear about that man...

  • hope u fix her up nice ride man collar bone sucks dont it.takes a while for that one to heal, hope tooo c u in another video with it fixed

  • track dayin a zzr1400! hats off to you mate!

good to see your ok! looked fast.

  • i feel sorry for ya, and ur bike, were u ok after tht? looked like a nasty crash,

  • Keep your head up, it happens to the best riders. Just know what you did wrong.

  • its ok, you will be back to ride again

  • Don't worry about bikes they can be easily recoverable but not the human soul and skin ...

  • sorry for you pall and dont wory about the bike its only objekt.

  • hope you getting better.

I broke my collarbone as well, not a fun time.

  • omg my friend i am very sorry....

  • one of the guys died out there at donington on monday :( may he rest in peace but at least he died doing what he loved.

  • I hope she's back on the street, not many of us ZX-14/ZZR1400 riders out there, I see very few locally here in FL.

  • oh yeah i just got back from picking my new to me 06 zx14 up and guess which color it is....... yep blue

  • about falling see kat williams comedy skit about wrecking his bike it is the most realistic story i have heard and the funniest

  • baaaaaaad :(

  • Shit happens. Anyone that says you shouldn't race your bike at the track is an idiot. Tracks are made to race on. No you can't hang the turns like a super light 600 or 750, but what's the point of buying a fast bike if you're not going to push it some?

A lot of riders have crashed, it's part of racing, Glad you're okay and screw the haters, they probably never even rode a bike anyways.

  • =[ shit happens but i hate seeing beautiful bikes get bashed up

  • Unlucky old lad,i bet that tank dent brought some tears!! :) on a plus note genuine scuffed leathers.

  • gutted , hope your up and riding again , unlike all the scooter boys who leave bullshit coments , weve got the guts and skill to get more than a 50cc 45mph piece of shit lol ,,, keep it lit mate

  • Glad you r all sorted mate, horrible to see you dump it .Thats just the reason i wont take my 14 on the track as to dump it would break my heart (and pocket!!!!). But to all the snipers out there who say it is too big for a track.BULLSHIT!. its quite an agile bike for the size of it.I know its not the latest GSXR etc but it can still hustle pretty dam good. all the best mate

  • As long as you're not hurt badly it's ok.

Next time remember to take off the side panels and mirrors when you're on the track!

  • Nice vid, good choice of song mate. Glad yer ok :)

Taking delivery of my new Candy Lime Green one Friday :)

  • Nice one mate you won't regret it. Nice colour choice too.

  • You make a comment like that when youve posted videos of a yamaha aerox like its something special. That's fuckin hilarious.

  • Well first of all I didn't repair it, I sold it, and bought a new bike. Second, anyone can ride a full race-rep on a track. You wouldn't have the bollox to put a bike like that on track. You just stick to your scooter, pussy.

  • And I see you removed my comments from your video and blocked me. Fuckin brilliant lol. One of those wankers who likes to go round posting negative comments but can't take it back. Get a life fucktard.

  • For something that does 300 kph you should be thankful that it didn't crash that much and you didn't hurt so much too.

  • ouch! great song though.

  • That sucks indeed man.

  • I feel for you pal!!! Unlucky. God, I was in pain seing your baby bashed like that!!! I am sure you are back on riding that beauty by now and that is the attitude man!!!! Take care.

  • ouch....I'm sorry man...

  • pqp lascou a moto toda!

  • OUCH!! I hope you got you baby all fixed again good as new, my baby (zzr250) got hurt in the hills too, but she got fixed!

    GOOD LUCK!

  • perfecta canción elegiste.

  • unlucky mate -

    1) wreck your zzr (love mine)

    2) get picked up by St Johns ambulance - what they give you for pain relief - a polo mint?

  • To be fair to the guys they were pretty good. The doc at the circuit was from the local hospital, and the facilities are quite good. I got diclofenac, and paracetamol and codeine, and they put my arm in a sling. About all you can expect really.

  • Is it just me or WTF is a 1400 doing on the track???

You're supposed to pose with it on the side lines.... LOL!!

  • Leathers will save your ass

  • Ya sure there pardner, then comes the twisties and you see why the cruiser is the loser.

  • Ouch not a nice feeling crashing and the damage to the pride and joy well well thats heartbreaking

  • Smarter than you clearly.

  • Of course it will. Same power, but over 50 kilos heavier, no fairing, and limited to 137mph. Yeah the 14 and busa won't stand a chance.

  • 2 kinds of riders people those who been down and thoes that going to go down shit happens to everyone

dont hate cuz if you have any room to talk you would know that guy knows his shit and probably been on the track for years crashing happens to everyone dont think your invisible cuz thats when it happens most lol keep stuntin ryan513

  • make that 4 kinds of riders....those that ride for life, and those that ride to look cool!

  • ah, unlucky man, hope you keep riding and hope you were okay :)

  • oh man, how could you :(( It's my dream bike you know... For now, I just have it as a wallpaper in my PC. Maybe someday I'll have it in my garage :) Good luck and be careful on those tracks man.

  • It's probably a silly view on it but I've been around Donnington on quite a few video games and it ALWAYS gives me trouble, some of the turns are nonsensical with increasing radius and negative banking. It wouldn't take much miscalculation to lose it.

  • yeah it is a silly view, thats in video game lol

  • No argument but if someone said "you're going to race tommorrow at a track you've never seen" wouldn't you like to try some laps the night before on a video simulator to get to know the layout? Maybe as rendered by several software designers?

I think most people experienced at both motorcycling and racing games understand what I meant, when I added the "silly" part it was an admission it's still not a replacement for the real thing. :-)

  • rip

  • I did exactly the same thing on my 06 14 - but it was a California canyon road.

The 14 is too big for that kind of riding....

  • ='( i hate to see broken bikes. it makes me sad. sucks that u crashed it man, did u fix her or get a new one?

  • tylną lampe kupię!!!

  • do you want our sympathy? you take it on a track, you might wreck it! doesn't mean you stop doing it, just be more careful next time.

  • Nope not looking for sympathy at all. Done plenty of track days and accept the risks. Am already back on track, with the proper tool for the job ;-)

  • then lets see some more vids ;)

  • damn thats some real shit man.

feel sorry for ya, and a shame of the bike.

you have a new one now?

  • Yes I have a GSX-R750 now. I had the 2004 model before the ZZR and I liked it, so I got the new model after the crash.

  • whats the estimate on the bike??? the gas tank is a wallet emptier!!!

  • The total cost of the parts it needed was about £2650, so around $5300 I guess. The fuel tank was £550 or $1100. I didn't fix the bike though, I sold it as it was.

  • that sucks bro. i have the 2008 zx14 special edition, and i am loving it. but i would hate to see it gone down like yours. that would be no good.

  • lol feel really sorry for you and your bike, i have a zzr too.

  • I shall have a few beers in honor of this poor bike and the trauma it endured.. sticky tires ftw!

  • good song end:D i try to fix you:D

  • im sorry about your bike man

  • Bro, I have a stock 07 zx14, seeing this video really hurts. Buts it's better that you did not get seriously hurt

. Have to agree, this machine is amazing, despite of the excess heat being produced. Good luck on your bike.

  • Why the crash happend? what cause it?

  • Basically too much power with still a lot of lean on. Back wheel spins up and you high-side. Having touring tyres on was a mistake too. I should have fitted some sticky tyres.
