Outpost though? I guess after realizing there was no point to it I played it like a sim city game and it was enjoyable. If I remember right, the key to the game is making sure you have plenty of trucks.

Agreed on Outpost; I quickly dubbed the AI computer voice "Minerva the Unnerving," because it was SO snarky/sarcastic! (Based on watching my spouse play it; never attempted playing it myself -- and I'd played most of the other space strategy/colony simulator games up to that point.

Megaman for the PC was... are you ready? The first Mega man game I played! I never had an NES you see, before I got into emulation. Still there was a Mega Man X (the first in the series) out on PC that I did play, and I found it very comparable to the SNES version.

I never played the first Outpost game but I loved the 2nd one, even though people seem to hate on that one too... though I don't understand why. I always figured it was because it was too hard.
I've always thought it was fucking hilarious the DOS Megaman games even EXIST! They weren't made (or even published, I think) by Capcom. I bought the first Megaman for $1 - I overpayed big time. That's why I stole the 2nd one :P

Dude what do you do with all those old-game boxes? I mean I used to collect games too, kept everything in the original box but the pain came when I move apartment and had to bring everything... it's such a pain packing/unpacking all those game boxes that I don't even bother to collect them anymore. This is a great list and you have an impressive collection! Ever tried playing Autobahn 3D (Autobahn Racing)? It was a dollar store title that never worked for me. The company sent me 2 different versions over the years on CDRs labeled Autobahn 1.1 and Autobahn 1.2. Both of those failed to work as a racing game. Another version came with 3D glasses, it was completely brain-numbing. Fantastic title music, tho. Long sweet song
Ill be honest. I actually thought Test Drive 4 was pretty good. Granted I was pretty young but it being my VERY FIRST racing computer game, I have some very fond memories of it. Maybe its just the nostalgia but I thought the original Need For Speed AND Test Drive 4 were equally good.

I agree with the point you made on #6. The only game I enjoy that even remotely has anything to do with christianity is Dante's Inferno. (Even though it's a blatant God of war ripoff)

By far the most unforgivable aspect of Depth Dwellers is that it described itself as "awesome." Advice to developers: (1) Play test. (2) Listen to feedback. (3) Improve game and make it awesome. (4) Call it awesome.

This is a great list and you have an impressive collection! Ever tried playing Autobahn 3D (Autobahn Racing)? It was a dollar store title that never worked for me. The company sent me 2 different versions over the years on CDRs labeled Autobahn 1.1 and Autobahn 1.2. Both of those failed to work as a racing game. Another version came with 3D glasses, it was completely brain-numbing. Fantastic title music, tho. Long sweet song

Ill be honest. I actually thought Test Drive 4 was pretty good. Granted I was pretty young but it being my VERY FIRST racing computer game, I have some very fond memories of it. Maybe its just the nostalgia but I thought the original Need For Speed AND Test Drive 4 were equally good.
