  • for real hahaha u are lucky man. i have family in guatmala they always tell me to never take my camera or phone never take it out lol pretty bold and risky of you to have just been casually walkin down the street..and they stare at you because its random like if u see someone at ur local walmart filming the aisles. u would just stare cus its random lol nice vid tho i'll be there in two months :)

  • Suerte k estas vivo hasta por un celular chafa te pueden matar

  • I use to fly back and forth from miami fla. to los angeles ca on pan am back in the 70's and early 80's. this meant that i would have about a 15-20 hour lay over. i stayed at the pan american hotel every time due to pan am's crew stayed there as well. at that time guatemala was, and i am sure it still is one of the most layed back places and the people incredibly friendly. i hope to go back sometime soon.

  • well zone one is still pretty dangerous but most parts of it is nice, its like going to the bad areas or the projects in the US. btw ppl have alot of work to do so they dont really like being on camera bcuz of that also the other reason may be that they think youre crazy simply by taking the camera out in broad daylight its not like in the US where ppl walk with ease holding a cellphone out. Thieves there will not care who you are its a nice camera for them =P nice vid btw

  • please upload more videos to watch my country Guatemala, thank you for visit this beautiful place.

  • hmm ok if that's the market near the civic center, i got mugged for my camera there once.

  • haha i've been there b4!! not sayin that i like it though. . . DX

  • looks like the swap meet in los ang.

  • LMFAO as long as you stay out of zone 18 I LIVE IN ZONA 18 thats jokes but he's right thats not a safe place at all...and wtffff how are you video taping this....every time i go back to visit i wanna video tape walking down the streets but im toooo scared to do it

  • Lucky to be alive

  • have you ever been to zone 8? thats were i live..wen i go out there and zone 10 is kinda safe too but on weekends cuz weekdays that areas dead haha

  • nmomica if your mom is from Guatemala you are also guatemalan by blood (Indian). So don't pretend you are not.

  • Not everyone from Guatemala is Indian my friend. We have a mixture of Native Guatemalans who are indigenous and also we have Spanish who were born in Guatemala and obviously are Guatemalans .

I'm from Guatemala , but I'm half Spanish and half German..........100% Guatemalan ;-)!

    Greetings!

  • hey i m half guatemalean and half spanish aswell. thanks for stating the truth , later ,

  • i love guatemala i just recently went and the central market was awesome!! i miss guat!!♥

  • Was this marcado central *central market*

  • not exactly as long and your not flashy or wearing jewelry or conspicuous youll be ok. and stop acting like a scared little bitch!

  • it looks like a nice place to visit!! my mom is from guatemala

  • Ok listen my girlfriend is Guatemalan and her dad lives in Zona 13. We live in Orlando and she wants to go visit her dad. Google Guatemala city and it sounds like Iraq with it being dangerous. What do you know about zone 13?

  • in terms of safety, zona 13 is relatively safe.

even though zone 13 is considered to be one of the safer zones, the city as a whole is still VERY VERY dangerous

but when you do visit your girlfriend's father in Guatemala City, i'm more than sure that you'll be venturing out into the other zones either accidently or simply by driving through to get to another zone.

As long as you stay out of zone 18, you'll be fine

  • zones what im going in a few ours im not trying to accidentally. End up in zone 18 and get shot lol

  • despite what people think, zone 18 is very modern and commercial. just stay out of it at night and try not to look like a tourist, but most tourist void this area altogether. but the view of the city is spectacular from zone 18, and the view of the mountains are amazing too, since most tourists do not visit zone 18 they end up missing the beautiful views zone 18 have to offer.

  • i miss guate....i used to live at zona 15, i'm still missing so many things from there!!

  • Very cool!

  • Good video; thanks for posting. I miss Guatemala. Zona 10 is safe also.

  • your welcome, I miss Guate too, someday I'll visit my friends again

  • Guatemala city is comprised of so many zones, and different places, it's better like they said, to stay in zone 10, 14, 15, Carretera al Salvador and nearby areas... there are different services for foreigns, or simply, you can go to Antigua Guatemala which is 10x safer and more beautiful

  • i believe there are 25 zones in Guate city, zone 18 is the most dangerous in the entire country, being known for its violence I just had to visit this area once out of curiosity with a trusted person who lives pretty close by

yes, zone 10 and 14 are very nice, but i've never been to zone 15

  • Guatemala City is composed of 21 zones, not 25. Actually, they are 20 zones, because it goes ...18, 19, 21. Zone 20 doesn't exits, which is still an enigma to me as to why.

  • Zone 15 is very nice depending on which Vista Hermosa your in.

  • Hey take me with you next time lol :>) Looks like a great place. I love the music they were playing at the end.

  • will do :)

  • the safest zones are 13, 15, and 16. A good place to stay is the hotel melia. Its like the marriot but only costs like 40$ a night, like 320 queztales. Also the artesian market in antigua is very safe along with all the markets in Zacapa

  • is not that they don't like to be on camera, they must be thinking, What is this gringo doing with a camera on the market, doesn't he knows that is really dangerous? they are more like surprised

  • thats all just 2:56 this video is to short!

  • I will make more, but the city too dangerous, I will have longer clips for some of the safer zones.

  • You are a Man of the World, of that there is no doubt. Guatemala! I hear you.

  • hey there Steely, Im down here teaching English in a language school. Its kind of difficult getting use to city, but still very fun.
