  • who cares wat airplane at least they landed safely

  • @SlamDundDrummer Sorry! What?!?

  • That's the wrong jet, it should have been an Airbus!

  • The actual aircraft in the crash was an Airbus 320-214, not a Boeing 737-700.:)

  • thats a b737-700er/w and i reaserched it on the internet and it was an a320-200

  • In my list of all-time heroes, Cpt. Sullenberger has a prominent place.

  • it was an Airbus A320

  • Use the correct aircraft next time

  • @LewisParley ....again.... I KNOW!!!!! Just used one that was CLOSE that was already made to give the FEELING of the flight. I could have used a flying SCHOOLbus since the idea was to feel the moment. It's been mentioned several times that it's the wrong plane, so further stating of that fact just shines the light on ignorance.

  • @mediagabe grrr feisty! but really, you could just download an A320

  • @LewisParley - maybe follow the flight plan, raise flaps and not post if it isn't accurate.

  • it was an airbus A319

  • good video. Nice job i liked it and I didn't like the kids that kept crying about the only thing they knew about planes is it was a320. they are smart asses

  • It sounds like you used audio from a plane crash audio file

  • I like how the engines steam after they hit the water

  • How did you perform the A320's plastic surgery to turn it into a 737?

  • Why is that a 737. I think it should be a a320.

  • 3:02 united 232?

  • Great job. I like it.

    (USAF ret)

  • that is not the right plane and this is very inacurate

  • that is not the right plane

  • its cactus 1549 not 1529 at 1:46.

  • thats why i hate fsx you cant land in water but belly landing in fun as hell haha

  • yeah. Flight Simulator X is very heavy. and laggy

  • lagg bitch!

  • don't care what type o' arline it is!

  • better to have a greater fps than scenery or water believe me it is more interesting to watch then many nice pictures

  • hmmm...you need more CPU power. the lag is terrible.

    Oh yeah...wrong plane too.

  • Mr sullenburg is a real hero!

  • The audio for this is so scary. The pilot has to remain perfectly calm even though he knows he could be minutes from death. Absolutely amazing, such bravery.

  • Nice animation but the processor is joking it looks liek.

  • The type of aircraft in the video simulator really doesn't matter, does it? It still gets the point across well. He had one option available and took it and saved many lives on his aircraft and on the ground.

  • Wingtips aren't *that* big on that aircraft...

  • A well trained flight and ground staff saved them from instant death...

  • @JumpStartation,why you need be rude? what did the dude ever do to you

  • I'm not being rude, I'm just asking why they need to do this.

  • @JumpStartation

    then why shouldnt then

  • What?

  • the boeing 737 and the airbus airbus a320 are very similar

  • Actually they're very differnt aside from being twin engine jets.

  • im talking in terms of appearance. is the 737 a fly by wire jet? i know the A380 is..??

  • @mollydrew , no boeing doesn't use "fly by wire", airbus does.

  • ahhh ok. i didnt know that.

  • Amazing how calm they are.

  • the ATC was not dumb. I think he did a superb job giving runway suggestions and airport locations. The plane was just too messed up if you will to get to TEB or back to LaGuardia.

  • Like what ALOT of people have said before.... WRONG AIRPLANE!!!!

  • yeah, like the person before you. reading descriptions goes a long way to make commentators not look like idiots.

  • It's a B737 on the video not a A320

  • gee if only I had thought to put that little note in the desciption. oh wait. I DID! Some people must just love to type.

  • @mediagabe you wrote much more than he did

  • Why did you use the crash sound from the DC10 crash??

  • it was in the video i grabbed to add the flight audio and transcript. i think it adds to the feeling of the crash.

  • Somebody sent me this really great reenactment the other day. Now I can't find it, and I keep going through all these other reanimations like this one that SUCK!!!

  • oh so you must have made an awesome one. post the link.

  • is it just me or does the controller continuously call the wrong flight number?

  • @jaydeuce1088 Yes, I think he kept calling out Cactus 1529, not 49.

  • @jaydeuce1088 He was probalby crapping himself...

  • dumb ATC, the pilot said like 5 times that he is unable to land on a runway, he still asks what runway would he like.

  • i know!

sully: we're gonna be in the hudson.

ATC: which runway do you want?

  • Way to jump to conclusions. That controller was doing an excellent job helping the pilot out with runway suggestions in case he could make it. He can't see the situation and can't tell they couldn't make it anyway.

  • it was a joke!

  • Was that idiot listening to anything that the pilot was saying? I hope they send him back to training school or fired him because he did not resond to well to the pilots needs.....

  • @jerseycityjoe You couldn't be more wrong. The controller did his job by providing assistance to the pilot. There was no way he could know of the exact situation. I would love it that he was giving me runway suggestions, and Sully even commended him in his book. The controller did his job and did a fabulous job at it.

  • holy shit. I was thinking of going to flight school and becoming a commercial airline pilot. I can honestly say i don't think i could have faced this they way he did. This is like a worst nightmare situation for a pilot (low altitude/speed/no engines/over a huge city) and he maintains perfect professionalism, you can hear it in his voice. He casually says "ah hit birds, lost both engines" "unable, going in the hudson" holy shit i say again. This man is amazing.

  • I WANT THAT GUY TO BE MY PILOT!

  • it was a 320 not a 737!

  • 3 mins after take off.. which altitude does usually airplanes climb?? can u find birds up there?????????????

  • Those faint background voices that you start hearing at 3:08 saying to lift, lift, lift are not from flight 1549 but are from a recording from United Airlines flight 232 that crashed in Souix City Iowa July 19, 1989. The person who created this video messed up.

  • Gee I wonder if anyone ever noticed the plane being flown is a 737 not the A320 Airbus that was the actual plane. The description says that the A320 was not available in the Flight Simulator. :-P

  • yes but the a320 is available in fsx

  • You are flying a Boing 737-800 not a A320

  • FO Skiles was busy trying to relight the engines and wasn't on the radio. If you'd read the official transcript, it shows no such comment was made in the cockpit. I think ATC did a very professional job with this emergency, trying to coordinate a possible landing at LGA or TEB, and dealing with all the other traffic also in the sky at the time, and notifying emergency services. Quite a heavy workload, really.

  • mraak:

It's not as if it mattered... There was nothing else the ATC could have done... All he could do was clear the nearest runways (which is what he did) and pray for a miracle (which we got)...

  • i do not know why everyone is giving you thumbs down...i did hear someone say IDIOT at 2:18

  • Great job for the most part, but really idiotic not to capitalize the sentences in the captions. What could have been a really professional looking video ends up looking like a half-baked grammar school project. Too bad, really, as the video gives a great sense of the time and space involved in the incident.

  • Haha, nice job whoever created this video of using the ending audio from United 232 to try and spice it up.

  • 1549 then 1539 then 1529 ?!? Does its number change throughout the flight?

  • its easy...birds travel in groups....just bad timing on mother natures part =p...and who the fuck cares if its a 747, 737...its a fucking plane...im all for aeronautics..im air national guard...but this bickering is pointless lol

  • i´ts a boeing 737

  • awesome!

  • thats a 737 not an a320

  • good job , only two things.

    1. Thats a 737

    2. The audio was a little of with the video

  • what happened to the subs?

  • lol never mind there they are

  • you fucking retarded mofo.

  • the plane was sabotaged

  • by what, a fucking birdnest?

  • rofl :D

  • Has that been proved? I think I recall they saying they had a 'bird-hit'.. Is that what they call a sabotage?

  • A bird strike, birds got caught in the engines during takeoff. Its one of the most common reasons a plane needs to return to the airport. I don't know how they managed to get a bird strike in BOTH engines though... Epic fail. :P

  • What a hero. No panic!

  • he was so cool, I love pilots <3 He saved all...just amazing...no panic, he was just so cool.

  • does it really matter which airline scheme or aircraft model the maker of this video uses? the point is, he re-enacts this crash almost perfectly.. to me it doesnt matter...

  • "I think he said he was going in the Hudson."

    badass lol

  • What the hell? Why do you have the Sioux united airlines DC-10 disaster cockpit voice recording playing when this is a totally different accident? Lol. "Left Al, left left left left". pilots names weren't even al.

  • yeah, that really sucks.

  • Ok..so what he used a 737-800 to represent an A320, so what he had smoke trailing from engines that would have been shutdown, and so what the paint scheme sucks. but at least the re-enactment is somewhat correct.

  • Its a 737

  • Why didn't use the Crytek engine ?

  • Wow I can hear the "PULLUP"

    OK....

First off, you dont put a 177passenger 737-800 as a referral for AIRBUS 320, 150 pax airliner....

    OK>??

    FAILED.

  • The "whoop whoop pull up" recording at the end is from the UA 232 crash.

  • That LAWS (low altitude warning system) sound is really scary to listen to, especially if you hear recordings from planes that crashed and nobody survived. Why did they have to make it sound like that? Can't it be a little easier on the ears? I would not want to hear that shit repeating as I plunged to my death.

  • Great compilation here. Great video.

  • this is pretty incredible - im still amazed at how calm he remained

that man saved many lives that day - truly a hero

  • Fukken sweet framerate bro

  • holy f**k

  • Good thing he didn't pray and actually flew the plane.

  • actually in the Fox interview with the guy he said that he was praying to God that everyone was going to be okay. He also said that he was praying once they hit birds too.

    ---peace---

  • Actually, in the interview, he said he was busy flying the plane while everyone else was praying. He's where I got his quote from.

  • Wow, he was so calm. I'd be shitting bricks and praying for God.

  • "I think he said he's going in the hudson.."

    "cactus1529.. uhh.. you still on?"

    hah. Great simulation.

  • wich simulator is it?!

  • Nice job...except (and this is a technicality) that you used a B737 in the video and the doomed aircraft was an Airbus A320.

  • yeah, that's the first thing i noticed. Nice job overall on the video though

  • American Eagle, so figure about an Embraer 135 or so....

  • Runway 2 4 would be better for them than 1. Btw not only the ATC mess up flight numbers :P Sully says 1539 aswell.

  • Where is the " Mayday, Mayday Mayday! " ? :P ( Great video )

  • great video! made me realized how low and slow they were when they lost the engines, the pilots did the right thing to commit to ditching the plane. superb decision making and airmanship

  • Awesome simulation with audio !!

  • Pilots are amazing, you guys should watch aircrash investigation.

  • It's a good thing that there was no flight 1529 nearby at the time. Otherwise, this could have gotten very confusing.

  • At 3:13 , I hear the audio recording from the United Airlines Flight 232 DC-10 Sioux City crash. In fact, the captain of that flight has called Sullenberger recently.

  • You're right. scrapironfish, who did the original simulation, added that to the end. The plane's computer saying pull up! pull up! really adds to it.

  • yes but was airbus320

  • yeah, i know. I grabbed the video from someone else and apparently the 320 airbus wasn't an available plane in the simulator. The Boeing is pretty close. The whole point is to get the feeling of the moment.

  • Great job, I want that dude flying my plane thats for damn sure!

  • This is by far my favorite video with audio because it has subtitled and the simulation. added to playlist 5/5

  • This is awesome. thx you very much 5/5
