  • Way too fast, especially with most of it not actually being in view of the camera. When you say "half triple crochet" are you meaning "half treble"? I could not figure out where to put the first scallop after joining.

  • the video was great and wonderful but can you make a slower one

  • what!!! A Half triple? maybe she means half double ;:(

  • Can you please tell me what a half triple is, i am just learning and not sure, the rest i followed.

  • i dont get it, arnt a chain and a single crochet the same :( at the begggining i was confused

  • Is there any possibility that you will be redoing this video

  • This butterfly is adorable. I was looking for something small enough to decorate a newborn booty. The problem I have with this tutorial is that it's off frame and your going to fast. I'm a beginner/intermediate crocheter and I'm having a problem with following it.

  • @divathis1 you are right!

  • My aunt used to make these the same way!! She showed me how a few years ago and I made quite a few...now that you've reminded me I think i'm going to start making them again! :)

  • These are so beautiful. I am setting up a little craft stall to raise a bit of extra money to study in Canada (I'm in the UK). I was wondering if I may make and sell some of these little butterflies. Thank you.

  • I am addicted to theese thhings.. I have a lot of the stamens from when I had my cake business, I have been using the ones that look like they have pollen on the ends instead of the peraly ones, and they look cool! ...I will get a video up some day :-)

  • SORRY I ACCIDENTALLY PUSH DISLIKE BUTTON WHEN I WANT TO PUSH LIKE BUTTON m(_ _)m My mistake and I can't UNDO ..

  • @seawaterwitch

hehehe OH no worries!! thank you for watching and liking. :)

    tina.

  • @DreamBigLover im stuck i started, i'm a beginner so i learn from watching and im stuck on the scallops cause i couldnt see what ur doing.

  • great idea on your butterflies!

    Renee

  • Thanks for this cute easy pattern..going to make lots of them.

  • Using your own words "I freaking Love you" LOL........This video is what inspired me to start getting back into crafting. I have been crocheting, scrapping, painting, drawing, making jewlry, decorating cakes for years, but have been out of the loop due to basically family trauma-i;;ness,finances,accidents, Uh! but Because of you I found Arlene on here, and so many others that I can't wait to share my own creations with hopefully!

  • @ChellieEmbellie

oh no THANK YOU. i feel honored that i was able to lead you to wonderful Arlene and get you back into crafting because it is truly a gift no should let go off. :) thank you so much for watching!

My love and appreciation for you and your outstanding effort

    I am a Muslim

  • how do u do half triple?

  • i am japanese. very cute ! and beautiful !

  • Where can I get those little plastic things for the antennea I reeeeaaalllly want to try this myself

  • Very nice video/tutorial. You sound very young, especially to be crocheting, but i think that is awesome. Keep up the good work, you have done an excellent job doing your tutorial. I like that you offer to help if needed. May god bless you and keep the tutorials coming. I do know how to crochet but not professional but i am a visual person. lol Thanks once again!

  • Virginia. Thank you I was going to ask the same question. Ok going to make these. Lol. Thanks for the video.

  • What is a half triple? I have never heard of that stitch before?

  • @virginiaomalley O.k. I think I have figured it out. Wrap your yarn around hook twice, insert into stitch, YO, bring up a loop, YO, draw through two loops, YO, draw through three loops on hook. Finished!

  • This is SO cute! :) I shared your wonderful tutorial on a Norwegian Crafts Forum and I'm sure your winged wee beauties will fly all over our nation!

    Thank you so much!!

  • I am impressed, great job! Cant wait to try this one..

  • Bless you! It's years since I did any crochet, but I could follow you and I made a cute butterfly. Yay!! Thank you so much! xx

  • your video is interesting but it's hard to follow you when the camera is everywhere and some of the time you're not even doing it in the camera. It's hard to see which stitch you are talking about sometimes cus it's hard to see with the color string you picked. would love to see more and a better close up.

  • I've just made this little butterfly, and was surprised at how easy it was! I'm quite the beginner in crochet, but your videos are inspiring me to do more! :) Thanks, doll!

thank you , i made it it was very simple and cute, but with the antennas, can i use the yarn? if yes how?

thank you for making it simple

  • wow soo cute

  • Hi!

I wanted to make these as earrings for my best friend because they're sooooo cute but i'm having a little trouble. Im fron the UK and was wondering what you use exactly for the antennae? I asked the woman in my local craft shop for the little sticky things with bead/blob bits on the ends that i saw used in a butterfly tutorial online and she kinda looked at me like i was an alien or something.

    Please help!!

Thanks a lot for the tutorial :)

  • i know I am more than a year later commenting but you said if you have any questions let me know..so since you were out of frame when you formed the first petal round I don't know what ot call it can you redo that and show us how it is done? thanks
