Im not surprised at all. Cartoon Network did it to themselves. They took a good block and fucked it up when they revamped TOM a year ago. Plus the whole moving the show all over the fucking place and never giving it a solid showing screwed things up too. If the brought the original airing block 4:00 to 7:00, it would probably become popular. That and they would have to show the old school anime shows and not that ADHD shit. RIP TOONAMI.

Toonami 4 lyfe. I watched Toonami since I was 4. I'm 15 now and it's gone..Dragonball Z, Gundam..then Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho made their way into the Toonami family along with a whole bunch of other great and epic Animes. RIP Toonami 1997-2008..
Now we have to rely on Adult Swim for our anime, but they only show like... 3 shows, and have their time slots taken up by crappy gory creepy shows that aren't worth the 10 bucks they spent to make them! T_T This is awful!

You also have to understand that back in toonami's glory days. There was no youtube or online sites to simply download/watch full length high quality anime. The mix of bad anime, illegal downloaders, and the founding/fad of subbed anime made Toonami really is SOL. PLUS shows like the kids shows before, and adult swim's line up made it tough for Toonami to compete. Think about it, what does toonami show today that could compete with family guy? Not to mention adult swim has it's own anime now.
yeah that true too big Toonami couldn't team up with adult swim showing bleach, death note, and many many many new anime that haven't even shown up in america. Tom was the man best show was Toonami well it was a fun ride but in the end it was the best thing have in our childhood Toonami forever
well you never know. Now three things can happen. 1. Cartoonetwork kills the toonami time. 2. Adult swim kills the toonami time. 3. Outlaw star, Cowboy bebop ( I think they had that), Yu yu hakosho, and all that jazz.
I dont even like Anime, but I loved those ones.
I remember the good times ( DBZ, Outlaw star, bebop, Hakusho) andf the bad times ( WHEN THEY PUT POWERPUFF GIRLS ON TOONAMI what the hell was that about?)
and I remember being so sad when the first Tom died and got eaten by that blob thing but got replaced by super cool Tom 2. Good times man

damn,im only 19, and i remember back when toonami was for older people, cause they started it at midnight or around there, with Dragonball/Z and the others, then moved to Saturday evenings around 4 with G Gundam (my fav), then to Sat. nites withs Yuyu Hakusho... didnt even know it came off, I just wondered why I saw bullshit Chowder on a Saturday nite last week...

Im not surprised at all. Cartoon Network did it to themselves. They took a good block and fucked it up when they revamped TOM a year ago. Plus the whole moving the show all over the fucking place and never giving it a solid showing screwed things up too. If the brought the original airing block 4:00 to 7:00, it would probably become popular. That and they would have to show the old school anime shows and not that ADHD shit. RIP TOONAMI.

WTF.....im 22 years old and I watched Toonami up until they "remodeled" Tom. CN is fucking gay....that was definitely their number one show on the whole CN's block. Even with this new verison...geez..I miss Sara..and the Absolution. and the old Tom. COWBOY BEBOP. SEE YA SPACE COWBOY! guess I gotta grow up... >.>

Sigh. I remember watching Toonami back in the days of Moltar. I almost feel like crying; my eyes seriousl stung as I watched this.
...God, I feel old.
I was ALWAYS into the storylines of TOM versions 1-3. I even used to play the game on the CN website xDDD Good times, man.
I don't know where CN's going from here; I'll admit to not watching Toonami since TOM v.4, but the shows sucked, give me a break.
Also love the 'Bang' at the end. Nice reference to Steve Blum/Bebop.

I just found out. If I had known it was ending, I would have watched that final showing. I'm 19 now and have been watching since it started, excluding this most reason year. That means I've been watching since I was 8. Wow. I almost feel like a part of me has died. Cartoon Network is really running itself into the ground.

Yeah, I almost cried and i NEVER cry. I thought I was going nuts at first but then I relized I was too sane on the situation. I'll miss the nights of my childhood waiting for tom and the absolution to sail on my Tv screen like an omen of good-will keeping me entertained all night and- yup I just let out a tear .

Toonami 4 lyfe. I watched Toonami since I was 4. I'm 15 now and it's gone..Dragonball Z, Gundam..then Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho made their way into the Toonami family along with a whole bunch of other great and epic Animes. RIP Toonami 1997-2008..

Now we have to rely on Adult Swim for our anime, but they only show like... 3 shows, and have their time slots taken up by crappy gory creepy shows that aren't worth the 10 bucks they spent to make them! T_T This is awful!

oh no thats terrible tonnami was the greatest thing to happen to us all right so as a fellow fan of toonami we will miss u tom and the bad thing is that i think we might have to rely on adult swim to provide us with awesome anime, but adult swim had changed over the years from straight anime to weired shows that arn't event anime and we gonna have to stay up late just watch them am i right people ^_^

You also have to understand that back in toonami's glory days. There was no youtube or online sites to simply download/watch full length high quality anime. The mix of bad anime, illegal downloaders, and the founding/fad of subbed anime made Toonami really is SOL. PLUS shows like the kids shows before, and adult swim's line up made it tough for Toonami to compete. Think about it, what does toonami show today that could compete with family guy? Not to mention adult swim has it's own anime now.

yeah that true too big Toonami couldn't team up with adult swim showing bleach, death note, and many many many new anime that haven't even shown up in america. Tom was the man best show was Toonami well it was a fun ride but in the end it was the best thing have in our childhood Toonami forever

well you never know. Now three things can happen. 1. Cartoonetwork kills the toonami time. 2. Adult swim kills the toonami time. 3. Cartoonetwork realizes how many viewers they are going to lose and start aring anime line ups even worst then before. Either ways unless its OLD toonami, I'm not supporting them at all.

Hmm. I never thought about it. I don't watch too much TV anymore but last I remember anime was pretty much exclusive to toonami... I'm sure the people at TV Tokyo are considering their options. Losing that big of a foot in the american market must mean trouble. I say let it all go digital download. A GOOD bit of anime is already on itunes and whatnot. Anime on Hulu? IDK. Maybe they will still air ANIME but no toonami.
